although they both now suck, prodigy ate up havoc all over the first three albums -- it's not even close. for a producer, h was pretty solid though.

and whats everyone take on Gnarles Barkley?

its very differnt from what you constantly hear now a days

gnarls barkley = overrated

common sense has become a pansy-ass punk over the last 10 years -- what happened to the dude that made joints like soul by the pound..

mos def is inferior to talib, though he's still quality.

immortal technique has gone down the tubes: the middle passage is taking way longer to drop, his live shows have been stagnant, repetitive and populated by suburban frat boys, and he seems to be ting on his values [interviews/pictorials in playboy; distribution deals with babygrande and talks with majors, etc.]

Well... to be honest, I never thought either was anyhting fantastic. But I do like Havoc more. But... young Prodigy's voice is so good. He could've been saying nursery rhymes and it would've sounded good with that voice.

It's all about In-Q, baby.

those of you who want that raw hip hop with crazy production and crazier lyrics, go cop that.

who would've thought that the wu member with the most questionable skills and nonsensical rhymes would, ten years after the group's peak, be the only one putting out decent records and maintaining a small but loyal following...

i agree with the first part, ghost was shaky on the debut.. BUT Wu's been on point lately. starting with Masta Killa's debut in 2004's No Said Date, a near classic album. then GZA's collaboration album with DJ Muggs 'Grandmasters' which is an INSTANT classic dropped late last yeart. tho Muggs beats resemble RZA/4th Deciple/Mathematics/Tru Master's its impossible to dislike. and this year with Ghost's Fishscale which is just ridiculous. Raekwon's OB4CL pt. 2 scheduled to drop soon its looking good for the wu.

Here's some new stuff that I think is pretty good.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8E9k2G89oIQ Cage - Shoot Frank (the second verse on this song is one of my favorites of all-time.)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oSwc3Q4NGeA Cyne - Haze (a great group from Florida. the first rapper on this song is Akin, he's okay. but the second one, Cise Star, is fantastic.)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DZJcq1eZHJM In-Q - Freestyle (he's my favorite hip hop artist at the moment. and this clip doesn't even come close to doing a good job of showing off his skills. his lyrics are ridiculous. he's not even a battle rapper.)
