| Minimal is already suffering the backlash in Europe, before North America has even caught on. My bet is we'll soon be on to 90s nostalgia. The 70s are long gone and the 80s are getting boring- in a couple of years old-skool hardcore and grunge will be the big sound everyone's imitating. |

the whole "electro" resurgence began and ended with Alter Ego - Rocker
there's a lot of clicky minimal bull about, and too few artists are brave enough to stick to a style nowadays and ride it through. People like Claude VonStroke and John Tejada are really doing it for me at the minute, no bull, just classy, druggy music. The MFA as well, after seeing their live show a few weeks ago, the future looks bright for all things Border Communist. |

| Isn't Rocker actually a track from a few years ago that enjoyed a resurgence when the electro scene took off. If you put its original release about 2000 time and its popularity peak in 2004/5 then yeah, it pretty much book-ends the "electro" revival. |

hell yeah i totally agree! ive got mad respect for the djs that didnt jump on the bandwagon...

I don't see "clicky minimal bull" as something completely apart from "electro", i think the market is completely flooded with crap records in between these two loose definitions. I do think Rocker was a mark in all this and pretty much started the bandwagon or at least gave it a big push though.
As for Border Community, they started great, but altho I haven't been following them that much lately, I don't think they've been that hot, Dextro - Do You Need Help (MFA Remix) was the last killer track I've heard from them. |

| Maybe it's wishful thinking, but I really feel like the sort of melodic house that dj's like Masiello, Porter, Luke Fair, and Saeed are spinning could become a big thing very shortly. If it isn't already that is. |
