I still cant see the point of this dinner, it's nothing but a promotion for the future #1 Dj in the world...
If u wanna raise funds, let him make a speech... let him make those who have $$ believe that the $$ is gonna be used appropriately... I will donate some $$. I would love to donate even more than $1800 if i had so much money.... but that dinner idea was totally lame IMO

how about DJ Tiesto, ambassador of the worldwide HIV/AIDS project 'Dance4Life' has a lunch with AIDS sick children and makes all the proceeds from his gig at Dragonfly go to the AIDS research program??

The Plan....

1. Pay the $1,800

2. Order the lobster

3. Tell Tijs he's a douchebag

4. Grab the waitress' ass

5. Write off the $1,800 on your taxes because you technically donated it to charity

and I was planning to be your date

When Tiesto says stops the music, no one moves...Tiesto controls all.

What you said would actually make more sense. If you think about it, it'll just be like most other rich charities. A bunch of rich snobs sitting around smoking their cigars, drinking their champagne, talking about how much they've made from the rising cost of oil and gold.

Having lunch w/ AIDS kids and funds from his gig to AIDS research would be so much more beneficial.

note: just because im pulling all these Tiesto/ Chucknorris-y jokes, doesnt mean I don't think this lunch thing could be wicked fun for a fan who could afford it, and its for an uber great cause!

Think about it, you guys are slagging a charity fundraiser simply because Tiesto is connected with it. If that's not immature, I don't know what is.

i would slag any EDM artist associated with such a lame event...

then again he aint an artist...so maybe i shouldnt slag then

Oh, so because it has the Tiesto name on it, that means the money will go to his pocket and not charities? Because if not, you should be asking every charity for their full records of where all the donation money went, but nope, you're just sitting here slagging Tiesto because he's promoting a charity event.

Secondly, Tiesto is not a spokesperson or an activist, so why the hell should he be making some speeches? He's a DJ, and it would make sense that he would DJ for charity, which *gasp* he's doing at the ACC.
