Nopes, you will not find Muslims opening up schools in Christian area and teaching Christians to read Quran. Muslim institutions establish and contain themselves in Muslim locality/society. Have any link on that? I can give you hundreds of link on forced conversion to Christiniaty and how these people take advantage of their situation in Africa. Lots of stories, lots of protests.
No other relegion ever ask for any 'support'. No other religion ever ask anyone to convert to its relegion. Its only Christians who do that. |

| you're talking about the extremists. yes extermist christians want other religions to convert, but extremist muslims kill non-muslims. there's quite a difference. it's good to know who you support, people who won't even let you convert to their religion. one day, when these fanatics affect your life personally, you will see. but till then, i hope you enjoy being a hippie liberal. |

Strange. I've seen plenty of Muslim mosques here in Vancouver, a city that would be stereotyped as mostly Christian (although we have churches for every religion you can think of. Even Scientology and Numerology!)
One thing Purple seems to keep leaving out is the big divide between factions of Sunni and Shi'ites, whom seem to be more interested in killing each other if the other side doesn't follow their take on Islam. Heck, some of the more radical Sunni groups will go after the liberal minded Sunni!
There's just as much bickering within organized religions as there is between the majors, so you can't go painting them with as broad a brush as you'd like. |

These mosques in Vancouver must be in Muslim locality, people where muslims live in Vancouver.
Violence is in culture of Muslim society. Its always been like that. Sholin_z posted a very nice explanation on what lead to this Shia and Sunnis, what was the incident which divided Muslims into two groups back like 2000 years ago; and you will see that even this aggressive way of life was their 2000 years back.
For outsiders like you and me, it all seems like 'wtf?'; but we have to understand that violence and 'show' of aggression has always been part of muslim culture, its like sports for them; and we have to accept that.
These muslims countries dont have same system like we have, and same way of governance like we have; they have 'warlords' for every village/community; what is Hizbullah? Its not a terrorist organisation, its just a larger model of these warlords; who fought Israel and freed South Lebanon. Lebanese people respect Hizbollah. Half of Pakistan is not part of the Pakistan government, in West Pakistan there is Baluchistan, which has its own 'warlords' and they set the rules, they govern. Local people in Baluchistant respect them and trust them more than Musharraf. Look at the Kurdish side
of Iraq, look at Kazakhistan, Uzbekistan, do you think the govt. there have control over the rural villages? No the system is different; the government negotiates with these warlords and bring in reforms. Hamas is just a wing like that; people in Palestine appreciate Hamas, even before their election victory Palestinian govt. negotiated with Hamas, Hamas didnt negotiated with government.
When Muslims dont have problems with them, than why and who are we to tell them this is right or wrong.

i was going to respond to this by saying that christians DID kill hundreds of thousands of innocent people in order to cement their religion, and that muslims are now in the same stage that christianity was in 600 years ago...
but then I read your last sentence and realized that you were a close minded fool. |
