VOTERS AT THE READY………
It is the single most important event in the dance calendar; it determines who’s up, down, in and out! It can only be the DJ MAG TOP 100 POLL.
It’s the only DJ poll that matters, and after more than a decade, it is safe to call it a phenomenon. This is the world’s most definitive guide to the movers and shakers that carve up your dancefloors, and it promises to be bigger and better than ever!
YOUR DJ NEEDS YOU! Proving dance music is far from dead, 124,000 dance fanatics from 147 countries voted in last year. That was a third up on the previous year, and we’re predicting the a further surge this time round, as voting couldn’t be easier. Navigate your way to www.djmag.com and make your feelings known.
This year’s the poll is slightly different. For the first time ever, DJ Mag will be giving out more gongs than ever before. As well as the all-important No. 1 DJ in the World accolade, there will be awards for the following categories.
BEST HOUSE DJ – BEST TECHNO DJ – BEST HARD DANCE DJ – BEST DRUM & BASS DJ
BEST BREAKBEAT DJ – BEST ELECTRO DJ – HIGHEST CLIMBER –HIGHEST NEW ENTRY
Will the mighty Paul van Dyk be robbed of his crown? Will Tiesto creep back and regain his throne? Or will one of the new kids shoot up from behind and turn the whole thing on its head? It’s all down to you! And with more reasons to vote than ever before, let’s ensure this year’s poll is another record breaker.
Voting opens on Wednesday 16th August, with a celebratory launch party on Thursday August 17th at top industry hang-out AKA in London. DJ Magazine have confirmed a stellar DJ line-up to see you through the evening that includes the genre screwing duo of COBURN, the mind battering STANTON WARRIORS, and many more to be confirmed.
‘Get In Publicity’ is proud to be shouting about the DJ Magazine Top 100 awards 2006. If you would like to be added to the guest list for the launch party, and for the awards, please email us your name, position and company you for work no later than Thursday August 10th.

What, no Best Trance DJ?
Hehe... this strikes me as an attempt to lure other scenes to vote so the poll can get more cred outside just the trance scene (or any cred, for that matter). |

I have the feeling they've be watching this place like a hawk after last year. Getting a fictional DJ on the list would be awesome though. |
