Hey man, put me on the collab list if you are interested. ;)
Like I told you on Anjuna, I really love these samples. Summer memories has the most ridiculously thick bassline ever...I love it. I also love the uplifting vibe in your music. I don't completely understand those people who are saying you are not original; I don't think I could name a song since Solar Stone's Seven Cities that featured as many major chords. :P
All this arguing about originality is a little ridiculous. Your production quality is ace, the melodies are effective, and there is no question that a couple of these will more than likely get picked up by some respectable labels.
Now, on to some info that is a bit more constructive:
In Summer Memories, I think the lead needs some work. It sounds like you spent a large amount of time on every other element in the track (it shows), but maybe due to fatigue spent much less effort and time on the lead (this of course is just a guess since I tend to do that).
I would recommend something with a timbre that sounds less digital and more analog-ish/creamy. When I listen to the main section I find myself wanting certain notes to resolve to other notes; I think the lead could be strengthened with a few modifications to its melody.
All in all very solid work though and I wish you the best of luck. :)

Gladius, Frase and Skyform - thanks very much :)
I'll be finishing those 3 tracks soon, and hopefully if the result is good enough i'll try shipping Summer Memories to some labels :wtf: |

I am no Trance expert, I occasionally listen to this type of happy trance when I am looking for something to cheer me up, and I can say that your tracks pretty much did the job when I listened :D
The tracks are uplifting and smooth, I see some similarity between the tracks here and there perhaps that's why ppl are telling you to discover new sounds, but keep the style it's very nice and uplifting my favorite track is :
Heaven's Open especially towards the end nice work :)

Hey Static_Blue,
Awesome tracks. I love the happy style...I needed time to listen to these over and over...still listening to them. I would have to say that my favorite track is Summer Memories, that intro is just really tight, then when the stacato like leads come in..super, then the main melody...that just hits the spot.
I like Cloudchaser too, but not too fond of the chord progression...But still very nicely produced track
Heaven's open is ok too.
Regardless, when I first heard all three, they all sounded awesome.

| i really enjoyed listening to these, dispite being very generic, the tracks have very nice and uplifting melodies. not sure about the break in cloudchaser, there are some notes in the basspad that sound totally off. but other than that i think you did good. obviously there is room for some imagination and individuality but thats been said already, enough times. |

| quote: | | Originally posted by RickyM About the tracks being 'generic', fair enough they are nothing ground breaking, but why do people talk as if every song should rewrite the rules? IMO Mr Static should continue to make music the way he likes it, and not change things around just because some gonk says it is 'generic'. |
I respectfully disagree. It's this same attitude why we have a ton of sorry producers flooding the trance scene in general. If I were a producer I would always approach a track as if it were my last and try to be ground breaking. Even if the final product doesn't exactly rewrite the rules at least it's better than average or just following the norm. |
