We should have a thread for those of us who want to speak/write better English. We can post drivel and everyone else can pop in and correct our words, grammar, and spelling. |
We've got a thread now :D
We need questions and answers here though... :p
Question #1) Do Europeans ever say the dates as "September 15th", for example? Or does it sound more natural to say "15th of September"? |

- Why did a girl feel the need to mock me for poorly pronouncing the word Documentaries in a literature class when I was in school in the US?
- Why do americans spell drive through fast food places Drive Thru?
:p
and humm perhaps I shouldn't even be posting in this thread as english isn't exactly a second language of mine. I grew up speaking english at home. |

I am affirming that I would like to. But I do not think it will aid me substantially in the regards that, of the many languages out there, it is the singular language in which I am fluent.

Fixed. |

This is a tricky word indeed... just like "hyperbole" (I always read "Hyper Ball" :p) |

| Maybe someone in this thread will be able to tell Wilford Brimley how to say 'diabetes' properly. |

It does sound more natural, to say "15th or September".
A related question : why do americans write the date like this: month.day.year, where as europeans write it: day.month.year ? |

makes more sense to go dd.mm.yy, then you have things in increasing order. order is good. |

'Otherwise' doesn't really work well in that sentence but I don't know what word would be better. |
