Nov. 2000:
The Guvernment nightclub filled up at an exponential rate on Nov. 4 in anticipation of Seb Fontaine, one of Britain's top trance and hard house DJs. Armed with glowsticks, the crowd of disco divas, ravers and club kids threw their hands in the air and stomped their dancing shoes as Seb threw down tracks that ranged from funky to hard and minimal. Creating his own sounds with three turntables, Seb started it off by playing super hard house and then made a smooth transition into some nice trance without too many long buildups (a nice touch). There were smiles all around, and everyone -- I mean everyone -- was dancing. Bringing in some of the wickedest international DJs, the Guvernment's Spin Saturdays will definitely get your vote as the place to get your groove on and your mojo workin'.

I'd also like to say that there has only been one time at the Guv where I wasn't on drugs. Ferry Corsten After 911 and it was possible he wasn't going to show up....we made it there at 3am with only coffee in our bellies.

I wish i had been here last year for the Guv's 9 year... I love Carl Cox... I hope he comes back (not this Wed night at TIL bull)... But I was in France on an exchange...
My first time at Guvernment was March 26 2005... Pretty new to partying I guess... Went in through The Drink.. first time I pilled as well... What an experience... Was totally blown away. My first time at CZ too...
Long Live The Guvernment... I dont know what Ill do if it closes down... Labour of Love 2005 was one of the best nights of my life... Each room was its own Universe. |

I too was there that night! Nights like these I'll always remember as they were precisely what the scene was about back then.
