Suggestions and Comments!

Hey guys,
As some of you may have noted, I have been appointed the new mod of this section. I know the moderation of the stickies and threads this forum has been relatively stagnant for the last little while and am here to try and change some of that!
In this thread I'd like to take some of the suggestions about how I can make this forum better for everyone.
All non serious suggestions and unrelated posting will be deleted.
Please do not start debates in this thread and if you have a conflicting suggestion, post it. I will evaluate all of them and try to come to a logical conclusion. If you can't hold something back, send me a PM and I will try to work it out.
Hopefully Luke Terry and I can help make these forums better. I myself already have some ideas but would like to hear from you guys.

| Question and answer sessions with famous (or talented) producers. They do it on dogsonacid.com and it's very interesting. |

A new tutorial master list? :) I know that is has been a while since it was updated. There are some new and and really usefull tutorials out that i think many should find easyer that way! Im will help out to find them, if needed!? :)

FYI, the tutorial master list does get updated on a semi-regular basis, and if I get a PM about a tutorial or see a thread with a "Tutorial: " subject, most of the time I'll add it. On the other hand, I can't add tutorials that I don't know about, and I personally fail to see how starting a new sticky would solve that problem, regardless of who maintains it...
Don't want to start a debate or anything, just thought that comment seemed odd. Feel free to delete the reply - I've said all this before. :p |

| I think by a nw sticky, they mean a fresh, updated one. Currently I'm super busy moving into Montreal and am in and in and out of internet cafes but can't really sort it out all the moment. If you PM me links to tutorials, I can definetely do something about them, I just don't have the time to go digging through this forum. i will soon, but not now. |

| i dont no if you have control over this. but is it possible to change the search facility so that you dont have to type in a minimum of four letters to get a result. things like pro 53 or pvd you cant search for. gets really frustrating trying to find stuff. |

add some more usefull topics to the turorial master list like
music theory
melody creation
uplifting melody creation
hard melody creation
trance strings
they have this on a few other forums without naming which ones
if a lot of stuff was in the tutorial master a loto f people newbies would not post silly questions. |

Sure, why not just ask for more tutorials on "how to become the best producer in the universe with no effort, money, or talent"?
Not every topic has a step-by-step guide. However, if you feel that there are good ones (such as the ones on these mysterious "other sites"), why haven't you contributed anything when it's been repeated ad-nauseam that a 5-second PM will generally get it added?
Be careful, Greg - don't let the inmates run the asylum. Most people with valuable insight will tend to approach the mods on a one-to-one basis. These virtual suggestion-boxes tend to self-select in favour of the cranks. |
