it's always at this point of time when teams with horrible quarterbacks start making rumors that they will sign jeff george, tony banks, rob johnson or etc..... :stongue:
i guess it is time to start respecting Jacksonville, because they made Pittsburgh into their punching dummies last night. No one stops Pittsburgh's run like Jacksonville. Pittsburgh is a good team i might add, but the Jaguars were the better of the two last night. Props to Jack Del Rio for bringing up this team from dead after Coughlin left. |

yea, no doubt.
and dually noted, baseball playoff demands much attention.
with that said, mondays jags over steelers meant much more than a MNF game and a low scoring game ...
| quote: | | Jacksonville Jaguars hung a 9-0 loss on them, their first setback since Dec. 4 and first shutout in three seasons. |
| quote: | | The Steelers' offense crossed the 50 just once and got no closer than Jacksonville's 46. |

| quote: | | The Jaguars manhandled one of the NFL's toughest-minded franchises, scoring their most impressive victory since mauling the Miami Dolphins 62-7 in the 1999 playoffs. |
| quote: | | Pittsburgh managed to gain just 153 yards. More importantly, they only mustered 26 rushing yards, the lowest total in Bill Cowher's 15 seasons as Steelers coach. |
| quote: | | Last year, the Jaguars' 23-17 overtime win at Pittsburgh carried a caveat because the Steelers were without their two best playmakers - Roethlisberger and wide receiver Hines Ward. |
no excuses last night, big ben and hines were both playing.

lol time to start respecting jax now ??
they were 12-4 last season.
2 of those losses came from the colts.
in addition, we were the only team last year to beat both superbowl teams.
as far as the steelers, last year we beat them in OT.
but everyone said it was because big ben and ward werent playing.
last nite they were.

if big ben was in form, it could be a different outcome...but of course this can be argued ad nauseum
good to see jack del rio's hard work with the ballclub paying off |

and i havent forgoten that.
some of the articles ive read neglect to mention anything aside from his motorcycle accident, and his emergency surgey 2 weeks ago.
i understand he was not 100%.
i think i heard some1 say on espn he had a fever an hour b4 the game.
with that said, he and his coaches made the decision, and he played. |

while i am overly excited about our win over the steelers, i took this to heart.
this is the jaguars senior editor in his on-going fan-answering articles, ask-vic.

| quote: | Daniel from Wichita, KS:
It's obvious, we are one of the elite teams in the NFL now, but if we win against Indy next week can anyone dispute us?
Vic: Who's disputing the Jaguars? What are the roots of this insanity? You wanted respect and now you have it. When is it enough? It's a real simple formula: Win and go up, lose and go down. What we're going to find out now is how tough it is to stay on top. The Colts held that top spot for nearly the entire season last year; little good it did them. The Jaguars are at one week and counting. The season didn't end last night. They didn't present the Lombardi Trophy. There are 15 weeks remaining.
|
this humbles me.
im still scared for week 2's away game vs indy.
we failed to beat them last season, and went 1-1 against them the season before. |

Which is the worst team right now out of the 0-2's:(make a non power poll)
Tampa Bay:(
Miami Dolphins
Oakland Raiders
Green Bay
Carolina Panthers
Houston texans
Washington
Detroit
Cleveland
Tennessee
Kansas City
Mine:(worst to better)
1. Oakland(too many problems with this team)
2. Tennessee(young is playing ,so they already have chalked up a lost season)
3.Green Bay(put Aaron Rodgers in to get some time if they keep losing)
4. Detroit( d looks better,o still looks lost)
5. Houston(see Carr run,see Carr fall)
6.Cleveland(too many injuries, how does a team lose 4 centers before the season starts)
7. Tampa Bay(bad o-line and simms should have gotten mike shanahan's initials tatted on him and not kyles...gradkowski starts in simms plays like ass ahain)
8. Miami(culpepper has become drew bledsoe in the pocket)
9. Kansas City(2 starting tackles gone and Green's bell rung)
10.Washington(Brunell struggling with the new offense, where is cooley)
11. Carolina(no smith,no offense) |
