after letting it sink in more and more and evaluating deep dish's set - i cant possibly imagine tier programming or track selection. after seeing what they can do last year during their soundbar residency, this show was a downright embarassment. not even chasing cars could save it.

as for pink floyd - the wall. to be quite honest - i didn't really care for the pink floyd track. as a matter of fact i am getting sick of rock classics being remixed whether it's Queen, Fleetwood mac or Pink Floyd.

Nice man, I made my post before seeing yours, honest. :P

Proper Education = ftw.

I hear you on the remixed rock classics. And actually I agree. We don't really need anymore of those. But - I make an exception on the Floyd track. I just think Eric Prydz hit the nail on that song's head in such a way that I've never heard any other such track done before. Clean, solid hit. I think personal preference is also a big factor here - I mean, I think "The Wall" is one of the best songs ever made and Prydz did an amazing job with it.

If you hear Armin's commentary about it after playing it on ASOT 263, it appears to have been done 'on a whim' - he says Prydz just happened to hear the original track while he was in a cab in Paris or something - then he just took out his laptop and made the track within some time afterwards. Choice.

off-topic but did anyone notice that Oakenfold, Rauhofer and f'in DJ DAN all remixed the new Paris Hilton song???? WTF???!?!?!?! Oakenfold, even Rauhofer I can understand.... but DJ DAN?????? c'mon now. Now if I was given an opportunity to remix a Paris Hilton song, I can't necessarily say I would turn it down lol but still I found it kinda surprising.

btw the DJ DAN mix is pretty damn good. I mean, I heard it was pretty good. Rauhofer and Oakenfold mixes ain't too shabby either. I heard.

The first time Party All the Time was played the crowd went nuts. Especially the guys in the "My Girl Likes To PATT" shirts.

rubin, i was actually thinking about the paris hilton remix when i was typing up my thing about GB and rock classics being remixed. and i dont think it's a good thing.
\
i was massively distraught when holden remixes a b. spears track because by doing so he validated her music in some way. now even chus & ceballos did a remix of Stars are Blind, thus giving it some measure of validation.

and that's not good. because that music is e. and rock classics should be left alone.

# Britney Spears - "Breathe on Me" (Holden Dub)
# Britney Spears - "Breathe on Me" (Holden Vocal Mix)

and here's the real travesty.

# "Stars Are Blind" [Chus & Ceballos Stereo Remix]
# "Stars Are Blind" [The Scumfrog's Extreme Makeover]

yes, i understand the concept of marketing and exposure. it's still a travesty.

i was so drunk from yuris's jack and jack that all i could think of when PATT was on was "god this would be great for a cialis enlarged prostate commercial"

"I DONT WANT TO POTTY ALL THE TIME POTTY ALL THE TIME POTTY ALL THE TIIII IIIME."

Re: the Floyd track. It wouldnt have made as big an impression on me if I was just listening at home. Hearing it for the first time, on such a big ass CLEAN hard-hitting system... was what did it. The sound was so damn good that the LAST thing I was thinking was "oh great another rock remake". The SOUND and MOOD of the moment overpowered everything and anything else I could think of.
