i agree that the set is quite energetic, but then again i play prog, deep house and tech house. but the energy struck me right from the beginning... strangely for me it all lays in the high hats and kick drums (too many years of listening to josh wink sets has done that to me) truly i enjoyed every minute of the energy. your mixes are really the only trance mixes i get around to listening to, simply because your class and quality always shine through. track selection is ever top-notch and always fromage-free (which is why i tend to stray from most trance mixes)
your mix also contained a reverence i was sorely missing. i shall definately be sharing this mix with others.

Thanks man. Appreciate the words. I am the same way about you. Your one of the few house djs I'll listen to because I know I'll be satisfied by your flair and style. And when you come around with a new mix (especially your last one), it was exactly as you say "a reverence I was sorely missing." again thanks for listening and as I see thanks for sharing the mix around. ^The melody of the 'Exocet' track is reminiscent of an old piano concerto by this famous dead classical music composer, but I just can't put a finger on who.
Oh no! Forget consistency. You're great at what you do. So far I've heard form you prog. trance, tech-trance, and even a stab at house. Keep varying if that's where your heart takes you.

Oh well I guess we differ a lot less than I thought. Cheers for clearing that up a bit. Although I think I remember you saying you didn't like that Tiesto set I posted. Idk, that is one of the best sets I've heard in a while period. The crowds reaction in the set really adds something and the trackselection was just top-notch Tiesto imo. Really reminded me of the old Tijs and why he's garnered so much respect from me. Plus I like Dance4Life. :p
Anyway thanks again. Listened to your latest prog house set and I'm going to have to get it again because my computer has been fux0red lately. I want to give it another listen before I give ya a review. |

Thanks man. Glad to hear your comments here and in my other mix thread. Prog trance is def a great genre. It's a pretty broad genre so there is lots of room for unique sound, bending of expectations and downright floor killing. Glad you liked Incalescent, the first part of the mix was mostly house/prog house so the fact that you liked the mix as a prog trance lover really is great to hear. Thats exactly what I wanted; I wanted to create a mix for trance lovers that has excellent house tracks that everyone should hear because it's just great sound. Plain and simple.
Anyway def send my some of your production work as soon as you can; would love to hear it. Or you can post it in the producer forum on TA and let me know about it (if you haven't already). Cheers. |

Thanks man. Yeah, Maor posted the mix right here in the forums for everyone to get for free because mostly likely the tune won't be released. Which is truely a sin because the tune is so ing good. It's probably my favorite track in the mix here, at least for the style I wanted and it's longevity as a good track. So here I uploaded it again for anyone as I don't think Maor will mind...

| hey man, just got done listening to the mix and i'm really impressed. i liked how it started off with some relatively laid back stuff, but then kicked up the energy a little bith with the joonas hahmo track. my favorite part of the mix was from tracks 7-10, i'd never heard those songs before, but i really liked them. all of them have very nice melodies that get stuck in your head. solid ending too, which i really enjoyed. as said before, very nice mix overall, keep them coming :) |

haha, thanks man. yeah i tend to like those catchy melody tracks. not just in your face ones but stuff that seems to ring true in a way. if you know what i mean. anyway thanks for the comments and hope you keep tuned for the future. my next mix wont be ready for a couple weeks as i'm very busy with the fall semester start piled on my work schedule, but i have something good in mind so hope you catch it.
