I dont think I've ever left a Sopranos episode feeling MORE SATISFIED.
First off, PHIL DIED! Good, stupid ******, I hated him. So ing glad his ass got popped!
Two, Tony lived through the episode. I would have been disappointed if he'd die, but thats just me.
I liked all that cat bull. The freakyness of it staring at Chris's picture, the way Pauly hated it to the point of extremeness, the way Tony loved it. Awesome. And then the scene after Pauly gives in to Tony and agrees to run that part of the family, Tony walks away and the ing cat comes back and ing sits down and just stares at Pauly, like it's saying "we win. Tony wins".
Three... the plots around Meadow and ESPECIALLY AJ seem to have been wrapped up nicely.
AJ had ing direction. He has a girl, he seem "normal". AJ is finally likely in a good place since god knows how long.
And Meadow... she potentially will be jumping into a good career making 170,000$? What else have Tony and Carm ever wanted for Meadow but for her to succeed. This was like confirmation of all that. She took her own route, to their chagrin, is doing exactly what she hoped for in the end and bc of all that time she put in w/ that not-for-profit stuff, its paying off.
And looks like her and the new beau are closer. I dunno... I totally envision a wedding or child in her near future.
And four, looks like *maybe* Sil will live. I hope so, he's always been my favourite character. I now have hope that he'll pull through. I didnt have that in the last ep when they said i think it was he'd not make it?
Anyways, yes nothing HUGE happened, but honestly, I'm glad. I highly appreciate the lines they did wrap up and dont mind the other ones they left open.
I was TENSE as though at the end.... REALLLY tense... and with meadow parking, err, TRYING to park her car what, 3, 4 times? And the way they'd switch to the trucker or then the guy at the bar, i completely thought tony was gonna get killed and that meadow was gonna miss her last possible moments w/ her father bc she was being so anal about parking her car.
that would have been a ing intense statement. she was RIGHT THERE... and would have blown her last possible moments with her dad over ing parallel parking. jesus, i was convinced that was gonna happen as that scene played out. |

-Not from Chase, but I feel the need to debunk the e-mail that's making the rounds about all the Holsten's patrons being characters from earlier in the series. The actor playing Member's Only guy had never been on the show before, Tony killed at least, one if not both of his carjackers, and there are about 17 other things wrong with this popular but incorrect theory. |

| the restaurant where the final dinner took place is now overflowing with people calling wanting to make reservations, sit at the same table as the family did, sit in the chair tony sat in and even eat the same meal tony was raving about (onion rings) |
