I doubt it.
I think a lot of women find a man's dedication to his studies or work to be very attractive. It shows that he is responsible and has priorities. It also shows that he is intelligent, and is more likely to have something to talk about aside from the regular boring surface banter.
I would never be turned off of a guy if he seemed to be genuinely concerned with his studies. |

Well there is a difference between being "concerned with your studies" and being "obsessed and don't care about anything else." If a guy told me to "get lost" because he was busy reading (and didn't have a deadline or something), I would think he was going a little overboard.
Otherwise, I think it is attractive. I would pick the "nerd" over the "jock" pretty much everytime. |

I don't get it, after my first 'ask a girl to meet up', it hasn't been as hard ever again. You're 20 years old, man up.
Damn, she's in your class, just say "Hi" to her and try to make some conversation.
I was scared for some time of breaking the ice with girls, but after the first one I was never scared again... lol, it's so funny to see guys having the same problems I used to have. I wish I could just shake some sense into you. :D |

go with plan A. if she's all punk rocker/emo, she'll probably be impressed by the bold move.
i would be. if a dude came up to me and said that, and there was chemistry as far as his looks, i would turn the tables and get HIS number and tell him it's because i don't trust him not to lose mine. |

It took me like 6 months before I was able to approach women on the street. It ain't easy.
But like Richard Pryor said so famously, "Women know they got the , and they know it's good." They're not going to approach you usually, so you have to. |
