Whether it's peaches, mellons, strawberries even apples, i will stop at nothing to get the exact piece of fruit that i am longing for at the right moment.
I perform these three tests.
1)The squeeze test...is the fruit the right level of tenderness, certain fruits you have to be careful with however, squeezing a grape too much will make it burst, which is no good to you or the grape.
2) The smell test...how does it smell? Do you detect sourness in the fruit? Do you want sourness in the fruit? Some fruits are difficult to smell, like melon, due to the hard outer shell. In cases such as this I then use my imagination to figure out what it smells like. If I imagine that the fruit smells like I want it to smell then it passes the test, however often times my imagination causes me to imagine fruit that does not smell like i want it to smell, in which case it recieves a failing grade.
3) The shake test...I shake the fruit. Is there anything inside the fruit moving around that could cause problems? Does it make noise, does it feel like the fruit could fall appart. These are all questions that I need to ask before i commit to a piece of fruit.
So shop on you shopoholics, but if its for fruit, dont forget to squeeze...
...just not too hard. |

I will impulse buy like its nothing....
I buy all my body washes, creams, soaps, scrubs etc from Lush and Lush only ( anyone who knows what lush is feels my pain..the stuff is SO DAMN GOOD and DAMN expensive)
and finally a year ago i had incidently acquired a management position in one of my favourite stores to shop in..thus reciveing a management discount..and therefore i feel like its ok to drop half a paycheque on the items in my store that i wish to own...

Lush, oh lush! They used to be called 'Cosmetics to Go' based in Poole, Dorset, England and went bust BUT re-opened with decent backing and have now taken over the WORLD!!!!
I went to Venice, yes, Venice to get engaged (long story, before I moved here) and there were 2 LUSHes there!!!!!
Buffy the backside slayer..... :)
Much cheaper at home, I hasten to add, which is about the only thing that is cheaper in the UK! |

I have one as I was told that I didn't need to be a student to have one.... I tried to use it and was dead embarrassed that they asked me for my student card.... my suit, tailored shirt and stern office heels were a dead giveaway that I WASN'T a student so I had to defend myself by saying that I wasn't told... the woman said, "it is a STUDENT price card"
As if the stockings, suspenders and slutty underwear weren't enough to be embarrassed about.
And Nic was with me
Jeez, all for 10% that I got anyway for using my RBC Visa!!!!!! |

get it!! I bought it at York bookstore, they didnt ask for my student ID!! |

I have one AND my student ID card is valid for another year even though i'm not in school anymore :disbelief |
