Buying a new camera

So I'm buying a new camera for one of my courses in college and was looking for something within the $150-$200 price range, something 4 mega pixels or more.
Can someone reccomend a decent camera? Preferably one with the basic features but can take pictures in almost any lights (the Kodak I have now is moody as hell and only takes pics with perfect lighting, but it does take amazing pics).
Also, if there's a place in the Mississauga area or in proximity to it that would be cool too :D
EDIT: Please post some of the reasons why the camera is worth the money and if you have some pics taken with it then that would be cool too. |

| I know this is out of your price range but I cannot stress enough how much I recommend the Canon SD600. Captures simply amazing photos. |

How much is it? I'd be willing to spend another $50 or so if it's worth it I suppose. |

or Sony.
Not to mention prices of cameras are constantly going down. I suggest getting an older model of a Canon or Sony. They're just as good as the new ones minus a couple features. But chances are, you won't even use them. Even with megapixels, you can get a camera that does the exact same , but an older model with fewer megapixels. You don't need 7 megapixels if you're just going to be printing out 4x6s |

go to Henry's in mississauga. talk to a sales rep and tell them what your budget is and what you are looking for in a camera. they are wonderful help there.

I strongly suggest that you buy a Canon. They are very good cameras, and I can assure you that you will not be dissatisfied with your purchase. I would do anything to have a Canon EOS 30D. I used to have one when I worked for the newspaper, and every picture that I took with that camera was so amazing. *drool*
But yeah, definitely go for a Canon. Get something like a Canon A540. It's a brilliant camera, and is maybe around $300.
