and yet, they don't realize what terrible human beings they really are....so in the meantime, i have to put up with these arrogant idiots who drive me up the fking wall...it's like highschool all over again....you may have been hot at your douchebag highschool, but that doesn't mean anything now. these little fking naive punks need a dose of reality. musttt resisst the urgeee to chookeee those sons-of-bitches!

but yeah, anyway, it's all water under the bridge... :toocool:

Wow, hi, you're not ignorant. Since I was a "frat boy" at your school I guess I belong in there too. Yes!

Some people just don't live that lifestyle thats all, if you feel like that it's something for you then go for it if not then avoid it. I had my own experience with frats and I'd hate to bash on it, i just simply say it's not for me.

I found that most frats or brotherhoods for that matter are exactly that, brotherhoods. It all depends on where you grew up, the type of people you were around and the social environments you've been in to determine if a fraternity is for you. I'm a city kid, born n raised in manhattan, frats were definitely not for me even though I went to some of their parties and hung out with alot of sorority chicks (cuz they easy lol), it wasn't for me to have a 'big' (aka big brother) cuz I always did stuff on my own, I didn't need anyone to guide me or tell me how to social involve myself, I did what I did and thats that.

Some people come from environments where they look up to one another, they work better in a group environment and those were the ones I found clicked really well with the greek life. Thats fine, thats the lifestyle for them, but not necessarily me.

With that mentality of being bonded by a brotherhood or some letters sown on a shirt, one would think it's easy for them to come off with that attitude. The whole my brother has my back and I have theirs can boost ones ego thus increasing anothers. Some frats aren't like that some are...the best thing to do is go your own route and accept that some are like that...you just need to accept it and move on..

that is all

here's a good frat article from today:

DOVER, Delaware (AP) -- The director of the Delaware State University band has been charged with raping a student, state police said Monday.

Miguel A. Bonds, 31, was arrested Sunday night and charged with second-degree rape, two counts of third-degree unlawful sexual contact, and providing alcohol to an underage person.

Authorities said a 20-year-old student told investigators that after the school's football game Saturday afternoon, he mentioned to Bonds that he was planning on pledging a fraternity next year, and that Bonds offered to "teach him what he needs to know about pledging."

He said he followed Bonds to his apartment, where they watched a movie, according to authorities. The student said that Bonds gave him a drink made with vodka and that he immediately felt dizzy.

As he drifted in and out of consciousness, Bonds began performing oral sex on the student and touched him inappropriately, police said.

The student awoke Sunday morning naked on the floor and nauseous, police said. After leaving the apartment, he received a phone call from Bonds, who asked whether he remembered anything, police said.

University spokesman Carlos Holmes said Bonds has been placed on paid administrative leave pending resolution of the charges. Bonds, who previously worked at Stillman College in Alabama, was hired by DSU last spring and began working for the school this summer, Holmes said.

"We did a background check on him; we didn't find anything on him," said Holmes, adding that DSU police conducted another background check after the rape allegations surfaced.

Bonds was being held at the Delaware Correctional Center in lieu of $12,100 bond. It was unclear whether he had retained an attorney; the jail could not provide any details.

About 90 students are involved in the band, known as "The Approaching Storm." The public university, originally founded in 1891 as the State College for Colored Students, has about 3,700 students.

wtf are they?

you can't generalize ALL frat guys...true the ones that are s, really take the cake as being HUGE douchebags...but i'd say that's only 20% of them...it really depends on the frat too. there are frats that are filled with nerdy guys (Old School style) and ones that are packed with Lexus driving bags.

As for sororities....:whip:

I would have been such a great sorority bitch, ordering all the pledges around.

:disbelief

No but seriously, I would have been the worst pledge. Definitely would not have made it. lol I don’t feel like I need to belong to some organization to find myself or feel accepted or whatever. But some people are really into it and have remained friends with their frat/sorority sisters and brothers into their adult lives and I think that’s cool. I'm sure there are bitches and s in every college, but you can't make that generalization.

i was in a co-ed community service group :gsmile:

i would love to be in a sorority if they had the mentality of a frat, but it's doubtful that would ever be possible. thus the difference between men and women :(
