How Do You Feel About Hip Hop / RAP? (pg. 4)

Eric B & Rakim....best beats, best lyrics, best MC & DJ combo.
Real rap.

Although back then they were sporting dookie ropes and Gucci track suits so the "bling bling" aspect hasn't changed. But at least back then they had to have talent to get a contract.

Todays stuff is . I'll agree the production has gotten way better but that is offset by the horrible lyrics and mic skills that are even worse.

I think the same can be said about all genres of music.. trance, pop, rap, rock etc all seem to be on the down

i think television has made show biz more about glamor than talent .. its happening in sports as well and the public is lapping it up
evil_cookie
todays hip hop and rap culture is a bunch of posers talking .
it's absolute garbage

but I'll always enjoy old skool tunes from Dre,Tupac,Jay-z and a couple others.

Add Pharrell to that list. Anything that man touches gets infused with a beat so good it consistently knocks my socks off.

+1 =)

Can't give much interest when it plays on the radio.... BUT, in the clubs, it's different. It's nice to venture off in the Orange Room for a little break. Depending on the nights (when there aren't that many groping a55holes), the girls are nice, and randomly give good looking guys a good grind. This one time almost 3 years ago, it was the most sex I've had in a while.

EDM is the music of choice for most in not all of the people on this forum but that doesnt mean we cant be open minded enough to enjoy other forms of music once in a while
