If Joe Blow makes a thread and two days later, deletes his thread (admin gives the thread creator the ability to delete) would you, as mod, restore that thread?
If Joe Blow pms you would you, as mod, post that pm without getting Joe Blow's permission?
If you have a conversation with Joe Blow on instant messenger, would you post a copy of that pm without getting Joe Blow's permission?
If Joe Blow chooses not to post pics on public forums, would you post a pic of Joe Blow or even threaten to post a pic of Joe Blow on the forum?

To be honest, I don't think it fair of you to delete threads you make. Once you make them, you essentially are handing it over to a group of people to use, and when you delete it, along with it, you delete their thoughts, and interactions. It is, in a way, very disrespectful.
Meh, I usually don't contribute much to your threads because I know that I may waste 5 minutes writing a response that will get deleted anyway.
So, with that in mind, if I were a mod, I would "undelete" your threads, and if I could, would probably take away your ability to do so. Don't make a thread if you are only going to delete it anyway.
As for PM's; they should be left private unless it is an OBVIOUS joke, or has been ok'ed by the PM'er. Same thing with messenger conversations. If it is of an obvious private or sensitive nature, you don't publicize it. If the conversations are all jokes, then it really shouldn't matter.
Half of the conversations I have with Swamper are hilariously funny, and it wouldn't bother me at all if he posted them here. You have to use common sense. |

I completely respect anyone's opinion to delete their own thread or post if that's what they wish to do. In the real world, you can't take back what you say or go back to edit it, but you have that liberty in this forum. So I don't see anything wrong with using the feature, it was put there for you to use.
That being said, I get annoyed sometimes when I spontaneously remember something I read or saw on this forum, and can't find it. Later on, I can't find the thread or post, and I feel cheated and frustrated that I was unable to start or continue reading it.
This is why I always use Google Notebook/Opera's Notes to archive every thing of note which I feel like reading later, or find notable. While I don't enjoy when people delete threads, if that's what they want to do, I can't stop them... so I just store every single thing of note in my notebook for later browsing/amusement. It doesn't really matter after awhile, I have many deleted posts/threads (when I enjoy everything and feel like saving the page) from this forum and others. |

The issue is not from simply deleting one thread but it is because of doing if repeatedly for bogus unfounded reasons.
If another user operated in the same behavior he would also get the same treatment.
And if I were a mod I would not share any private conversations or any form of outside exchanges without the forum unless I had been specifically authorized to do so. |

from now on, we need to alternate as TA's on who is going to save the screen shot for every post or thread EOS makes. that way, when she deletes them, we can repost it or start a new thread on her behalf.
