i lived in Etobicoke and partied downtown for a long time..now I unfortunately live a lot further than that..and still party downtown..
there r the night busses. subways is your friend(but only till a bit past 1 am...oh and ty how it starts to work around 9 am sunday)
check out the night bus schedules. they're on the ttc website. it might go right by your house.

Well it totally depends where/how he lives downtown doesn't it? That's a large variable to take into consideration.

Hey, I'm not playing real estate agent/life coach for the guy...

I'm simply offering him some first hand, practical experience of how thoughtful use of a vehicle can make it more affordable to keep.

Does 10 years count? 6 years of 'very nice' cars too! I DO miss my car but not enough to warrant having one full time.

As it stands, I can rent a super-duper one whenever I want!
