Okay so things are starting to heat up. This will no doubt become the big topic in the next month. Here are a few resources to get us started.

New York Times Election Guide
Washington Post Election Guide

Heres a site I liked:
http://www.dohtem.com/wobush/election.htm
Even tells you who to vote for and links to their donations page.

What are these elections for?
Q5echo
these elections are for the Federal (Washington) representatives for each of our 50 states. similar to your House of Commons.

sorry, your Parliament and Senate. not House of Commons. i confused you with a lowly Canadian.

Yeah our Parliament is split into The House of Representatives and the Senate... No executive branch as such.

In the US you have 2 Senators per state in the House of the Senate but something like 400 members in the House of Reps (called congressman??). Im guessing these are elections for the Senators?

I dont follow it as much, but right now in Virginia, George Allen is up 3 points I believe. I hope he wins, I cant stand Webb.
