I got there at 1. I didn't think Holden was good at all. Maybe the last half hour he was okay, but still not what I expected.
Burridge was pretty good. I dug most of what I heard.
TAs galore. I always love that. Even moreso when you don't expect to see that many. |

I'm glad I got to meet you! Next time you have to make it out to see Out of Analog spin too! We had a great time in the basement. :) |

It was nice meeting you and DJ CJ. The Out of Analog boys were tearing up when we got there, though we only saw the first 20 mintues of their set before we ventured upstairs for Holden. Holden's set was kind of boring until the end, then Lee tore up. We left at 5-5:30 before the tag team even started, even though I was ready to go all morning. Sometimes things just don't work out as planned.
But yeah, tonight was doomed from the get-go, though. Music was good and it was nice seeing the usual suspects out. Everything else....I could have dealt without (or with if you know what i mean from discussing tonight) |

Great meeting you Dangergirl. Out of Analog definitely set a great tone to the evening.
Big TA turnout: Kristin, Seamus, Adam, Tom, Dave, Jay, Jon x2, Alisa, Francis, Daniela, Brian, Zack, Kerrine, and anyone else I forgot.
No problems getting in around midnight on the Made guestlist. Holden walked in as we waited briefly in line. When we got to the main room a little later the lights were in full effect (almost blinding.) It was a stark contrast to the usual dark ambience we're used to for him. He played pretty deep, but I thought it was danceable at the same time.
Promptly at 2:30 Burridge went on, and the crowd was ready for him. A good time was had by all, and it was reminiscent of the Arc days... Unpretentious solid beats that made you just want to stomp. The only downside was the air conditioning didn't seem to be working. I think Pacha was trying to save on energy costs and ran fans instead of AC, which really wasn't that effective for the hot, sweaty crowd. |

| I had a blast last night, but I do agree that Holden's set didnt really pick up till the end. I went ballistic when he played 10101. One of my fav tracks from his album. I did stay to the very end, got to shake their hands and everything. Its a shame I didnt meet any of the TA's. Maybe next time. |

alisa and i were buggin out for a good 5-10 minutes over BOOGARTGREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEENS!!!!!!!!!!!!! cuz we apparently think that's just the coolest TA name evar :D lol... good times :D
it was so weird how, during the last 10-20 minutes of his, holden just out of nowhere started dropping THUMPIN minimal tracks and i was going NUTS... that was around 1:30, soon as i got there.. i could have had that kind of all night basically.. ugh.. so awesome..
i liked lee a lot, stayed til about 5 and had to call it a night not because i was tired or anything but because of work & homework to do the next day..

And yes... for sure. Normally, I get to places early enough... Last night was one of the few times I've gotten to a place after 12:30. |

Was a pretty good night the music post 4am was pretty amazing, and the club cleared out a bit giving everyone a bit of space to dance. I dont like pacha as a club, the soudn system isnt that great, and it is like a maze to navigate. Also the crowd was pretty strange till about 4am.
Highlights of then night for me.
Being confused by daniela and alisa on bogartgreeeen.
Discussing Dune with highmay(best ing movie ever) LOL
Seeing all the older TA's that i dont see out much. |

I had a great time last night, though it was a strange night. I was confused throughout most of it; the crowd was strange, I wasn't feeling the music most of the time (till after 5) and I dunno... just a strange vibe. Stuck with everyone I knew, which was great. Nice finally talking to Jayme, a character to say the least ;)
But one thing I noticed was that in my first hours there, I was just noticing all the bad things (still having a great time, laughing, talking, etc.) but seeing all the douchebags and just wondering wtf I was doing there in terms of having spent $30 to stand around and drink $5 waters. Wasn't even dancing. Around 5 something hit me and when I looked around, I saw all the good. Even in the douchebags! It's hard to explain. It was a sort of epiphany. Also the music got really great around 5, cause before that, Lee wasn't really giving me much to work with. ONLY BECAUSE the music he was playing was too good for the hole in the ground we were standing in, for the idiots dancing like fools, for the bad system and the overheating. Get me home, give me a drink and PJ's and a few friends, and I would have been grooving all night. It just didn't belong there IMO.
Oh and that bartender with the FURIOUS KNOCKERS has to getdaout. WHAT'S UP WITH THAT ????!!?? :eyespop: :eyes: |

| Holden reaffirmed in m mind why no one should ever let him near a set of decks in a club. While he might be the most talented producer out there, a modern day Mozart, a prodigy, he doesn't know how to spin to a crowd. He spins awesome music to be enjoyed at an afterhours with all your friends. Music you listen to. Not music you dance to. He's out of place on a main floor at peak time and consistently kills the vibe. thank god Lee was there to supervise towards the end of the night or it would have been a complete buzzkill. Holden was OK towards the end when Lee was probably telling him which records not to spin. |
