pwn't

hahah yup, less than 100 hp to the wheels. engine is rated at 127 but about high 90's to the wheel. guys gotta remember i dont expect my civic to be fast. i just want a little bit quicker daily driver thus the low boost.
chubbs
If you want a faster daily driver, I'd really suggest just selling the Civic and buying something that's quick in stock form dude.

exactly what i dont want to do. my car is fully paid off and i dont want to deal with a car payment. i love my civic and wouldnt want another car right now. not to mentioni 35mpg =)

but i know once i get the turbo my mpg will go down but not by too much

Or methanol injection - could then run higher boost without such risk of detonation ;)

sell ur decks .. sell ur car .. buy a bicycle .. and save the rest of the money!

Wow, u really like to throw ur money around don't you?

Yeah everything is kinda overkill in my opinion, unless u have a very strong passion for either...

Id say sellit if you can but no turbo. Its just not as fun to pump up a FWD car. I wanted to supercharge my GTI but I just cant justify it. I love my car and it goes plenty fast but living in socal...I cant get out of 3rd as it is with all the traffic. If I bumped it up from 172hp to 280hp I would never see the full potential unless its 2am. Thats why I want a bike.

That's really slow.

I'm running two atmospheric boost in my car. Thats over 28psi.

Oh wait thats right, its a civic, is supposed to be slow as . Put coffee can muffler on the back and call it a day.

I agree with most of the people on here. The ideal to me is a three channel mixer. Unless you have two TTs and two CDJs, you really don't need anything more than that. A third channel could be used for anything from a TT, to an effector or whatever there is. Doesn't make sense to use TTs as much anymore, unless you really like vinyl and have a collection already. I have a Vestax PCV 275, i've had it for two years. It still works pretty good. Know i'm going to upgrade either this year, next year or in 2008, whenever it starts to degrade significantly. It sounds okay, but I wouldn't say it sounds as good as it did, maybe because it worked better when I had TTs/vinyl. But would probably just get an Ecler Nuo 3, or possibly a Nuo 4.

I personally wouldn't think you need to make a car any faster, esp one like a Civic. Your not racing are you? I guess i'm not a car guy so I really don't care. I drive a 96 Toyota Camry, doesn't go that fast, but I wouldn't put my money into upgrading anything that really doesn't need it. If all your doing is just traveling back and forth from school, work, friends, clubs etc...you don't need something really fast. There's speed limits anyways...yeah I know people don't go them all the time, but your not going to go say 50 in a 25 zone, or say 80 in a 50 zone? or 100 on a 65 or 70 highway? Fine...but tickets cost you $$ and points on your license...and of course..accidents. Not trying to sound preachy, just a lil common sense with both things. I was picked on in high school because I went the speed limit, people thought I was a bad driver haha. I don't know why people equate those who go the speed limit as bad drivers, would think it would be the opposite...

So I would say..sell the DJM 1000..get a less expensive mixer, possibly one by Ecler or Vestax, sell the effector and if you need effects, wouldn't using your MacBook and some software like Ableton allow you to add effects? Or sell both and just get the DJM 800 with effects already...by selling the DJM 1000 and your effector, you'd have more than enough for a DJM 800, and money left over for anything else. Possibly for some more software or towards a new car in the future...or your education. Oh and an Ecler Nuo 4 should suit you well with MIDI capabalities, esp if you want to integrate Ableton and other things into your mixes. It's also half the price of one DJM 800...may not be digital but it certaintly is using some more advanced analog technology, similar to some of them by A&H, like the Xone 32/62/92 or the Rane: Empath.

thank you for some honest feedback. the djm1000 is pending right now. i decided on getting the djm800 and i am holding off on boosting my car. I'll still be keeping the efx1000 because i love it way too much. its soo much damn fun to play with and it can do a lot more than the onboard effects of the djm800. will post pics in the post your gear thread once i get it in.
