It was awesome, new spins on great old tunes is always fun.

The song is
Cassandra Fox - Touch Me (Mike Koglin vs Jono Grant Remix)

I chose to go to Holden @ Footwork instead (definitely a good choice, IMHO), but managed to catch the last couple of hours of Rank 1's set in KH which was good. Piet is the man! I was wiped though and was pretty much there to hang out and catch some tunes.

Nice to see Sam, Lauren and Sean...and a big thanks to Kevin and the promoter for getting me in at such a late hour...very much appreciated!

Glad I missed the rammed part of the night but still got to catch some trance and see a few people ;)

p.s. I was a bit dissapointed neither Black is the colour or Eighties were played, sniff :(

Alright fine you asked so here it is...

Getting into the koolhaus last night andrew and i were surprised to find the usually rocking koolhaus looking more like a highschool dance. This is the second time i have witnessed this phenomenon, the first being the f*ck me i'm famous party. This is when the people in the koolhaus do not dance, but instead stand in a circle around the perimeter of the room looking at an empty dancefloor.
By the end of Barrato's set people were dancing though, so things were on the up and up.

The only reason I wanted to go to this party was to see Markus Schulz. Nothing against the others, but I have seen them quite a few times and their shows are usually quite similar.

Markus on the other hand was spectacular. I think he is one of the few trance dj's who is still doing things right. He's making his sets exciting, mixing in tunes from different genres, twisted remixes of old tunes, and great new tunes.
The past four times he's been here in toronto he has been equally as impressive each time.
I was very happy to see him play.

When he was finished, I left, and was very satisfied with what i had heard.

Great night was had, markus was particularily good, but i left shortly after his set, just ran out of energy. Shanny was right when he said markus is one of the few trance dj's left that does it right. couldnt agree more.

nice to see everyone! had a brief blast.
