lol I get really annoyed when I'm having a problem and a friend comes to me and says "don't worry, everything will be fine"

When people call pop/soda "coke."

"What kind of Coke do you want?"
"How 'bout an orange soda?"
"Sure."

...No.

I swear to God that if I hear another 50 year old say 'Talk to the hand!' like it's the first time anyone has ever said it, I will make them swallow a whole hard-boiled egg, shell and all.

And any woman that calls another woman 'sister' as if to strengthen the point of her statement, I want her to die by a flaming shish-kebab to the chest.

When I first moved to TX that used to piss me off too. But then, every time I said 'soda' people would go 'Hhahahahaha, where are you from??' I lasted for like a year and then converted. :(

this is one I would have mentioned. its ing annoying. the 'your mom' phase started in the late 90's and has been going popular throughout junior highs ever since.

another one i hate is when people call something 'sad' when its not really sad. like when someone says something kinda ridiculous like 'ive never flown before'...another person is likely to say 'thats sad'.

no it isnt and nobody will be sad if you yourself to death.

'Your Mum' was really annoying but haven't heard anyone use it since about 1999....Of the ones I still hear:

-'Y'all'
-'Hey girl'
-'Jump the shark'
-'Hella'
-'Holla back' - or any combination thereof
-'sick'
-'Maccie D's'
-'Git R Done' -
-'Wak'
-'Hook up' - why is this term used to describe all forms of social contact, from meeting someone to sex?
-People who use the word 'song' to describe any form of music including rap/hip-hop/classical music/EDM etc.
-People who use the word 'techno' to describe any form of EDM

Too many Americanisms....being a Brit living in Virginia I seem to spend a lot of time upholding the Queen's English.:(

I'll probably be editting this post a number of times!
