I don't like stereotyping so I disagree with this. e.g. I'm Scottish but I don't speak like a chav. I've no problem with how you guys speak.
It's all down to the individual. |
lol i wasn't stereotyping, just didn't wanna bother citing these:

Too many Americanisms....being a Brit living in Virginia I seem to spend a lot of time upholding the Queen's English.:(
I'll probably be editting this post a number of times! |

personally, i dislike the americanisms
"man the dj was sick last night" - so, he had TB ?
"wow, that dj was tight" - you footbucked him ? |
my point was that slang in other dialects is never going to make sense
the word chav means nothing to many americans |

I hate kids that talk like that in the U.S. Since I've moved to Michigan they use some ed up slang/terms here.
Bro, that ride is "scandelous" (meaning it looks great)
Can I "grip" those Jeans (meaning borrow)
In Boston, California and some other states , the word "wicked" is used a lot as in that band was "wicked" last night.
I could go on and on, but like they say in the UK, "bloody hell" |

:D Anyone Brits who saw the last series of the US Apprentice will have noticed the British guy who used the terms bollocks and wanker fairly liberally without it being bleeped, whilst nobody else could get anything vaguely on the side of swearing in.

It's funny that you mention that, since I've joined I've been called a wanker, twat, tool, douchebag and then to top it off nchs09, who I consider a British Puertorican called me a gimp on a few occasions. :( |
