I'm absolutely ting myself.

The last few days I've noticed a ringing in my ears. I am hoping it's temporary, I wasn't exposed to any loud noise recently.

However, there's a little more to it than that. As well as the ringing in my ears I've noticed an increased sensitivity to noise in general, and also light. Some noise that would not normally concern me has become unpleasant, for example my father carving some beef tonight caused me some discomfort.

I'm hoping this is a passing virus, as I'm feeling very sleepy too.

Has anyone else experienced this sort of affliction?

see a doctor...that sounds really wierd

If this was brought on suddenly, and it's accompanied by a sensitivity to light, it sounds like you've got a sinus cold or something like that.

Yeah I have tinitus quite bad... Have had it all my life, seems to me like you just have a cold or a virus. Just let it go and you should be fine, if symptoms persist see a doctor.

Went to see a doctor today - basically just gave me a quick check and said it should pass with the symptoms I've described.....

Hope so.....

Thats a shame - I hope that doesn't happen to me.

Do you know how or why you developed it? And how has it affected you, and how do you manage it.

Jarv

PS Still hearing that ringing........

Loud music at clubs, loud music at home, loud music at close range while DJing... Music is the cause..

I've had it ever since I was a kid. Been surrounded by music all my life... and it's also partially caused by high blood pressure, I've had some issues with that too in the past.

It's not very loud yet though and I've had it for as long as I can remember so I don't even notice it anymore.
