Why does this incident make any difference, unless you're planning to quit flying completely now? |

Do you react the same way when there's a car accident? |

Your right, it is his right to be afraid based on one incident. That still doesn't make it not stupid. It's a completely illogical reaction to a news event.
He's basing his life on some incident that didn't change anything in the greater scheme of the world, and that occurred completely out of his control. It's not as though suddenly there's been a recall of that type of plane (if he's even flying the same type). It was a freak accident, and events similar have happened before and will, without a doubt, happen again. If it took this one incident to deter him from flying, he probably shouldn't be flying in the first place.
And btw, since when did flying a plane equipped with a parachute that will support the entire plane in case of engine malfunction equate to risky behavior? It's not like he was BASE jumping. |

I thought that was highmay's position.
Anyhow, sorry if you're offended, I just think it's too bad for you that you would change your mind over this event. Your loss, not mine. |

You know what, I was on the train coming home from work and I remember I think it was on Monday, but on Mike and the Mad Dog's radio show, both Mike and the Mad Dog was highly criticizing the Yankees down to the point of individual players, Cory was mentioned and I remember hearing Cory call in saying he wanted to defend himself. Also remember Mike and the Mad Dog criticizing Cory real heavily while he was on the phone with them...
Really really sad |
