If you are asking about best food, and my favourite restaurant, it would have to be Jack Astor's:

Jack Astor's

I love this place :D THE BEST GARLIC BREAD IN EXISTENCE!!!

Nothing beats:

- Danny's
- IHOP
- Waffle House - their steroid-laced fat on the bone (I think they call it "steak") is to die for (literally).

I also <3 White Castle - I take all my special hos there. If she's the kind a ho you can take home to ma', I'd take her out to Taco Bell. But bitch gots to nibble on my burito first or she ain't gettin' fed!

:tongue3

I had a Waffle House breakfast, in Maryland, on my way back up to NY. I don't know which was less attractive, the food, or the waitresses. /shallow mode

I had White Castle @ 3am, on the night I moved back to NY - I don't miss the taste of it, one bit.

LOL

Down here we don't have White Castle unless you buy it frozen in the supermarket. We have Crystal instead. I've only seen two locations: Kissimmee and Fort Lauderdale.

I miss the White Castle on Queens Blvd. next to the Queens Center Mall. Memories!

yeah i'm shocked by the number of chains that are listed in this thread though...

not that chains are terrible or anything, but when i think "nice" restaurant, i think of something special with a more personal edge to it... not your every-day run of the mill place.

I hear there's one in Cherry Hill NJ - they even had like a 2 hour commercial about it. It's right next to the really high cliffs, u know the ones Cherry Hill/NJ is famous for.

Soto Japanese Restaurant in Atlanta

I'm a big seafood and sushi fan so I asked my local sushi chef where the best sushi was and he told me "Soto". After doing some research, I discovered chef Sotohiro Kosugi was named the nation's top 12 chefs by Food & Wine Magazine. Named second best, next to Ritz Carlton in Atlanta by Zagats. That's pretty good for a sushi chef. ;)

So I make an appointment and happen to luck out where he was doing a 15 course dinner for a flat $80 per person. It is hands down the BEST food I ever put into my mouth. His dishes range from a soup that is served in a tiny teapot to kobe beef to fois gras to lobster sashimi. The entire dinner took 3 hours but man was it worth it.

Sadly he moved this restaurant to NYC last year. :(

i was with him!! hands down best food i have ever put in my mouth too! he served this soup at the beginning of the meal called dobin michi soup. in fact here is my post about going to the place
