Well, Just because a producer says that have programs in their equiptment list. DOesnt mean they use it for every thing. Maybe he is a 'advid fruity loops user' still doeasnt phase me. I never said I want to jump on his back. I just said he puts on a good show...
As my grandfather use to say:
"Germans dont get mad, They get revenge." Well..It has a different meaning in this case.. I just cant find the right description ;) |

Hell, I could easily say that all hardware is useless and pure e just because I don't know how to use them...
OF COURSE software can't make sounds anywhere near as hardware, but that is not to say they are crap.
They give us (poor 18-year-old students) the possibility to make our dreams come true without needing to spend all our money on to something that would be gathering dust on some corner because it would be too hard to use... |
I have thought about it. And I'm 18, And I have lots of equiptment. I love my equiptment more then anything. And their sure as hell not collecting dust. :stongue: |

hmmm... American producer with the IQ of patio furniture vs. a community of European producers?
gee, I wonder who will win?
There's not much I can say that hasn't already been said in this thread.
I think is mostly comes down to the fact that software is good. While it might still be a little behind hardware for producing good synths, it is becoming quite effective for sequencing and drum loops (if you're working with the right sample sets). Hardware is still the best tho for making a good trance synth. I regularly use Reason, and I haven't been able to make a solid trance synth using the Subtractor. The NN19 sampler is a little better because I can import samples from REAL synths, and it can sound pretty good. I got a few JP-8000 samples and I have duplicated the intro for Airwave almost perfectly.
But calling software crap is just wrong, because it can be a really powerful tool if you can use it properly. |

Alright, What is so good about them?! You can download them from warez groups?! Is that it? Just cause a producer says he\she has cubase or whatever doesnt mean they use them for everything in the world. And I'm not american, I live in America yes. Thank you. I dont think I have my head that far up my ass like you do.I honesstly done see how this turned into such a big arguement. Isnt you8r country freedom of speech and opinion? Hardware will always be better then software. The only reason why people buy software is cause their suckers. Suckers for corporate america. |
