DUH
You make a "controversial" (apparently) remark on a DISCUSSION BOARD. Strange, that people actually start to discuss huh? And now your calling people who use software suckers. That's pretty lame. You say someone who uses Cubase doesn't necessarily have to use it in a creative way? (that's how I understood it) Same goes for hardware. period.
And nobody's emprisoning you or arresting you for violating "freedom of speech". Some people can yak geez. |

How is this "controversial"? I have never heard anything good come Fruity Looops or Reason. So therefore it gives me the reason to think its a waste of money\time to download. Maybe its just the kids in Conn who think their the because they have a program. |

Soo... you have an opinion.
AND THAT'S ALL IT IS, FOR F**K'S SAKE!!!!!!
You are flaming us because we express our opinions, yet you think we have no right to tell our opinion about YOUR opinion?!?!?!?
I'd say something about typical americans here but I wont, it would be too easy. |

I dont care about other peoples opinions. People have different feelings about everything. I'm not "flaming" anyone from doing anything. Its just a general observation I have made about the piece of software. Please explain how people on any Unix OS are suppose to use these piece's of software. Or anyone else on a open source OS. And yes it would be to easy. |

Well, why does it matter if open source OS people can use it or not? you seem to hate software in general, despite the fact you've never taken the time to learn about it and take advantage of it like most trance producers already have.
Now, your little argument over open source OS music software is really a much greater argument concerning all software, most stuff gets released on Windows, get over it. I don't like it, but I live with it. |

What a bunch of Yes men. Do you know how many trance artist are in this world? Have you ever heard of Kraftwerk? If you haven't. Buy\download a song by them. And tell me how they use their analog equiptment to the max. You wont hear one computer application sound or whatever you want to call it in their songs. Sounds alot better that way then having a computer do the work for you. :) |

You may have never heard anything good come out of FL or Reason, but you have definately heard good stuff come out of other programs, like sequencers like cubase, logic, cw sonar.. I'd really like to see someone have the same control and freedom over sequencing a track, with multiple midi and sound tracks, processing filters, setting real time control paths, looping, altering, perfecting, all on a hardware sequencer. It may physically be possible, but why on earth would you want to, when technology is allowing us to do it so much easier, with more control, while maintaining perfect sound quality. You should really be more open to software, it has many advantages over harware. |

1. The computer doesn't do the work.
Software is not something you put on and say "do a track for me"...
2. Kraftwerk? You mean the band that did a tune called "ComputerLove"?
Bleh ;) |

this is the DUMBIST post i have ever read.... what you use isint what matters its how you use it.. if you suck useing software then you with suck with whatever you use. a talented producer could make a pro sounding track on freakin fast tracker (altho its uncommen i have seen it happin) but as i said i have hear people with truckloads of gear that put out crap that i would mistake for a FT file playing at 8bit... i am not backin up anything. if you like soft, great! you like hard? all the power to ya. but theres no point in this "so and so use's this, so and so uses that" forget that crap, dont limit yourselfs...
I hope this didint come out as a flame towards anyone, its just my opinon and i freakin hate theys stupid software vs. hardware fights, might aswell wip your dick out and see whos is longer...
