I find it funny how everyone is like, “oh she can’t sing”...lol like ANY of the friggin singers in edm can hold a tune either. I’m sure some of them can, but if any vocals are completely edited, it’s the vocals in edm. It’s the same . That song “I’m a slave” is pretty much more edm than pop if u ask me. I know she had some help with the neptunes (very talented imo, i'm a huge pharrell fan), but still.
That video is ing hot and she has the most amazing ass I’ve ever seen in that too. I like how she has that raspy sexy slutty voice. Obviously if we’re talking about talent, I’m going to mention Christina Aguilera or Mariah, but I just think that u guys are confusing the difference between a “singer” and a “performer” Britney is a performer..like Madonna. It's more about the image and the show/stage presence. And while some of her songs are hit or miss, she still has enough of a voice to work with, a damn good body (when she’s taking care of it) and moves better than any back up dancer out there if you ask me.

People like Britney Spears are what help the whole music industry shift towards . Granted, you're always going to have little girls who like bad music simply because it's sold to them much in the same way tampons are; they can't resist them! :gsmile: But at the end of the day, it's all really just one spectacle.
Oh, and one thing I do agree with you on, the EDM chicks. I've heard many, many people say that hearing Jes Brieden sing live is very much like listening to cats - Lots of screeching and hissing. |
