M&M's? damn, they got lucky...last time i heard it was bread, water, garlic salt and potato skins

M&M's have no nutritional value though, so while it may seem "lucky," you send a few years locked in Mos Def's basement eating only M&M's and then see how "lucky" you think it is!

You could go all left brain and become like an M&M picasso though... Which wouldn't be bad.

Have you ever heard Jan Johnston or Kirsty Hawkshaw out of the studio? The chicks are tone deaf...Britney (however misguided she is) can sing better than 90% of the EDM females.

And while we are at it...Dido who has one of the best voices of today sounds like out of the studio.

You just hate Britney cus it is trendy to hate her...i bet you hate Paris Hilton to.

Well you love Paris Hilton so ! :p

And humm yeah I guess Britney Spears is good at what she does for the radio.

Everyone here usually says things like "it's not quality, it brings music down etc etc" but popular music cannot be quality or too highly advanced.
Melodies have to be easy to remember and also have a catch to them, it is vital for commercial music to be obvious for it to achieve widestream success.

I do not hate any "famous" person, simply because I find hatred toward people I have never met, and have never been known to do something atrocious (like murder someone etc.) to be ridiculous.

However, I personally think my musical taste fits in a totally bizzare class. I, for the most part, do not listen to music with lyrics (aka my love for a lot of EDM and classical), and if I do, it's minimal. I am not one to listen to music to hear the words, but to feel the vibe, and listen to the sounds/beats.

With that said, any music with vocals need to pass a very high test of scrutiny for me to consider it worth listening to. Britney Spears never met my level of expectations in a good vocalist.

If I am going to listen to someone sing, they should be able to actually sing with their heart and soul, and be able to carry a tune like a star. Some of my favourite female vocalists are Regina Spektor, Terra Naomi, Imogen Heap and Cyndi Lauper. These women can sing anything, and sing it well enough that you become enveloped by their voices. These manufactured artists like Britney and Paris just don't have that quality in my opinion.

Aside from vocal quality, it is important to me that the actual lyrics themselves are decent too. Repetitive e with no story, or no real meaning doesn't cut it. If a songs lyrics have a point to them, or make you think, then I will be more inclined to enjoy it as well.

One song I love with great lyrics is written by Ricky & Marty Wilde called "Cambodia". It has an incredibly interesting story to it.

Meh, maybe I am just a music snob. Either way, I can't help what I like to listen to, and Britney Spears is just not someone I like to listen to.

There is the occasional time that these artists release a song with a great beat to it, and I may like the song for the music, but could care less for the vocals. So, I suppose not all of Britney's music is e, but it really isn't thanks to her.

IMO!

How people can be so passionate in loving or hating bimbo celebrities they never met, is something I really fail to understand.
