I really didn't expect SvD to get that high, even after I made my prediction that he'd get 10th, I wanted to take it back but I wasn't allowed to edit.
He's just so monotone to me; I liked his sound initially because it seemed fresh, but he hasn't changed and adapted. There's so many djs out there like Holden or Sasha or Digweed that continuously change their playlist, genre, and so on and so forth yet still retain their "sound". Sander plays the same crap from the Swedes, a bit of tech trance usually made by himself, and some techno and it all sounds the same. That's it. |
SvD played a week ago in Kiev, and poeple were mad at his playing. He gives so much energy from his sets, that people couldn't walk next day. They felt pain in legs. He played 2.5 hours and they said it were better hours in their lifes! They forgot about PvD and other crappy DJs, but unfortunately voting on djmag was closed at that time. I didn't go there, because it tooks yoo much money:( Someone said he has unique own sound. And other said that can name 10 DJs with the same sound. Yeah, i agree, that now many DJs hooked up his style, but he was the first!!! And tracks don't sound the same, he just very good selects tracks to mix one to another. Perfect tracks selection. Also good mixing=DJ top 10
About Sasha, he plays now electro sound not better that Martin Eyerer and many other average DJs. Holden played early progressive trance and was good, but now that minimal, not many people can dance with that music. In chillout area he would be good i think! Digweed i didn't hear this year, so i wouldn't say anything about him! |

It's funny.
Some of the loudest complainers in here never voted - and - surprisingly - some of them are even bitching about the results meanwhile they included that DJ in their entry.
Relax ppl, it's just a poll gauging the tastes of a cross-section of TA forum members. Regarding the comment earlier - yes, the site is called 'Trance'addict - but - for any of you have been here any length of time (or even since the beginning) you'd know that all types of good EDM are appreciated by many ppl on here - be it Techno, House or whatever.
Save the religious genre whoring for the closed-minded. |
