well no... it's actually something else :p Nyana came out when I was finishing my freshman year at college. Lots of experiences, memories during that time. So I get this big rush of flashbacks if I listen to Nyana and just think back to those days. Now that I'm in a different state, all the way on the other side of the country, no longer a student, working - it's real nice to be able to have something help me daze off to the past once in a while :)

A lot of music does this to me, actually. I'll be doing something random and then hear a song come on that I love but have completely forgotten about for years - and I'll just be taken waaaay back. I'm talking like ... remembering specific emotions, incidents, feelings, smells! that's why i love love love music.

Those are my exact thoughts!

Nyana CD 2 is one of my fav.

i feel the same way about music, such an aphrodisiac sometimes. not only can u remember the times back then, but for me i can remember where my state of mind was at the time, specific things going on in my life; all triggered by certain songs. perfect example for me is (esp. when it's summer), agnelli & nelson - el nino (matt darey 12" mix). that reminds me of the summer i got into the scene, listening to tranceport...all the friends i met and the parties i went to....:toocool:

I was young in the EDM world when released.
The first CD which really put me in. Still love CD2.

i remember i liked the track Nyana a lot :)
and the the track In Your Eyes by Filterheadz was pretty nice too :)

Listening to Disc 1 now as a result of this thread. I think I prefer Disc 2 due to its more chilled nature. In any event, the first time I listened to Nyana the first thought that went through my head was, "This doesn't seem like typical Tiesto to me." Of course at the time I had a relatively limited frame of reference from which to compare Nyana.

I feel the exact same way about el nino, since Tranceport was my gateway into trance as well.

heh, it actually fits perfectly: Tranceport = the first port into trance for so many ;)

oh, and we have to remember Nyana CD2 (if i'm right) was the first compilation to world-premiere ATRC AND Beautiful Things: both tracks to become instant classics.

Motorcycle sucked pretty much ever since then, yes. But their tracks on Nyana are still great. That's the reason they got overplayed :)

Yeah those two tracks were pretty much exclusive to that album. Who cares if they've since been overplayed? Back in the day, they were :eyes: . Just browse the TA archives (very different opinion on Tiesto here a few years ago).
