How I wish I had listened in IT A'Level 12/13 years ago instead of getting the boys to help me ;)
Seriously though, I understand programming in HTML (even entered my own background into someone else's code) and I am not doing bad grasping this CCS malarkey but I am either stupid or blind but I don't see where to enter the layout code on my actual myspace - I am sure that this is glaringly obvious and I know I should read the whole tutorial on skem9 but I am looking for a brother/sister for Yasmin so if anyone wants to just tell me outright, I will be deeply indebted :D |

Enter the code in the "About Me:" box Rach when you click on "Edit Profile."
Just put it at the top, girl! |

Facebook > MySpace.
I like facebook way more... myspace is just pointless and boring to me.
My facebook gripes:
- I'ts like you need to explain EVERYTHING on this site. When you met the person, how long you have known them. Where did you travel and eat and sleep together... who was on top the first time. Like... wtf.
- The "Cancel Relationship" button. Bringing breakup's to an all time low. Like honestly, I'd rather break up via text message then facebook.
Also, Facebook is kinda creepy. About a month ago, some girl tried adding me. I was like "meh whatever" and added her, and "skipped the step" for explaining how I knew her. Afterwards, she sent me the friend details...
we went to the same elementary school, same high school, and traveled to Italy for a week on a trip. She even signed my yearbook in Grade 12 and OAC. It took me a month to remember who the hell she was... it was creepy.
Still, I prefer it to myspace, because myspace seems so... blah, like I cant do anything productive on it. |

It's not used to actually let your significant other know that you're breaking up with them, but rather to let everyone else know that you're not together anymore so there won't be any of those awkward "hey, so how are things with the gf?" - "oh we broke up" moments.

That's why Facebook is so wicked! These are people you used to know, not just some randoms like on myspace. Haven't you ever wondered, "hmmm I wonder what happened to that crazy girl i used to talk to in junior high", and Facebook lets you find them. I know a couple of friends that re-connected with their friends from WAAAAYYY back, and are very happy they did so. |

I know... but wouldn't it suck to come home, log on to Facebook, and the first thing that pops up is "you are now listed as single"

You can change your mini-feed setting so that when you break up with someone it doesnt appear everywhere that you are now broken up and get massively advertized.
it you set your settings so that it changes w/o any kind of notice going anywhere about it.
you just need to modify your settings away from their defaults. |

| for me...i like myspace because its great to promote yourself but i also like facebook b/c i can find old friends and it keeps me in touch with my past...so i like both for diff reasons |
