My non-arabic facial hair. Nevermind the cabbage on my head:

See, anyone can do it.

Motion

have you seen the movie "Pi?"

Your wall reminds me of his apartment. :P

I haven't seen it, though I've heard it's pretty good.

That's actually a floor-standing piece of art in Patty Schmidt's loft in the old port. Some of you might know her from hosting Brave New Waves on CBC.
Marcus007
It's alright. Requiem is better... :/
Motionpicture
Requiem I don't know. Is the music as good as in Pi?
Marcus007
Requiem for a Dream?

No, the music is Requiem is wayyy better.

Pi is extremely low budget. It's shot on 16mm which makes it a lil hard to watch on anything less than a home theatre. :/

:eyespop:

Requiem music is ground breaking. But Clint Mansell is a genius composer and his score for Pi was magnificent. I can't wait for the Fountain and hear the music there, same man doing it :D

Aronofksy is on his way to becoming the best of his generation.
Marcus did you see the Fountain already?

Yes. :P

I had a friend who worked on it and she brought me to the crew screening in Montreal. I was ing freaking cuz she knew how much of an Aronofsky fan I was...

IMAGINE GETTING INTO THE THEATRE AND SPOTTING HIM WITH THE MAIN WRITER!!!

Ahhhhhh she introduced us and we spoke a bit about Requiem and I congratulated him on his newborn son.

The Fountain is great man. It's a total fantasy sci-fi that just leaves your jaw dropped by the end.

The philosophy in that film on death is enough to blow the roof off any non-deep thinker. I can't wait to see how it'll be embraced in the States.

Incredible... just incredible...

Hugh Jackman did a great job but Rachel Weiz (Darren's wife :P) is spellbinding. She may just get an Oscar nomination for this.

AAAARHHHHHHHH lucky bastard :p
It's kind of how I felt when I watched the screening for Inland Empire and got to hear Lynch himself with two of his actors speak about the film...except I didn't have the opportunity to meet him and shake his hand :(

I knew the Fountain was going to be amazing as soon as I heard its synopsis and that Aronofksy was doing it. I have a huge poster in my room and one of the gooey-tree screensavers that keep reminding me that it's so close :p
Rachel is amazing, I love her, good to hear her performance is worthy of a nom (I thought she deserved the Oscar she got for Constant Gardener)
Jackman is a great actor too but somehow I always thought the original choice of Brad Pitt would of been slightly better, too bad he opted out in the last minute..
Cant wait for this movie aaaaarrrrrhh!!

EDIT: here's a fascinating read on the backstory of the film, Scoop

/end of hijack :p
