I love the argument of "well you should have protected your ". No different than if I was walking down the street and someone shot me. Well, should have had the bulletproof vest on, the gunman has his rights.
Just stop leeching from people. It's not hard. |
so wait....let me get this straight...
whiskers just shot you?
murder a lil different than leeching a few kb form your server.
and thanks for teh jitsu location, this town is full of them. I think I might try to go to one in spring after I have been working out for a bit. |

Well, not quite a "bag," per say, more like a pouch of sand with a raisin on the surface. |

you don't have to be ripped to do jiu jitsu, but it helps if you're heave ;)
strong arms + upper body is a plus though. |

im working a lotta cardio, which I know will be very useful. but yea, I might get some arm strength too since im a little panzy right now. |

You'll pull something in your lower back if you try to lift me up. |

cardio helps, but cardio's better for stuff like taekwondo or mui thai.
personally for me, jiu jitsu is more about flexibility, arm strength (biceps, triceps, forearms very important), and yes, you do want to puke after a couple matches.
but it's a little more strategy & technique - oriented rather than strength. i could roll with a 250 pound guy or with a huge, experienced wrestler (and i have) and have either of them in a nice choke within seconds if they don't see it coming.
weight does help but i think in the end it's all about speed & technique. |

| It's an analogy. You missed the point.
Anyways, I won't derail the thread any longer. Bye. |

I rolled with a cute girl I sort of have a crush on this weekend. Fun experience, but obviously she was no match for my weight or strength. Plus kind of hard to concentrate on jiu jitsu when either of you is in full guard or in a mount on the other person.

that's why you use your legs to lift heavy things and never your back. |
