Ferry Corsten & Seasunz @ Space 10-27-06 Review + Pics

Tonight's event was 18+ nearing the last minute, so it was a bit crowded with youngins and . Some people were actually in costume for the upcoming Halloween holiday. Seasunz would be tonight's opening DJ for Ferry. I arrived in the middle of his set. Tracks included:

Sweet Dreams.
Seasunz played everything with the pitch low, a Space characteristic for openiung sets, so the tracks all sounded kinda meh.
Onto Ferry Corsten.
I went to Space not expecting much from him. His first few opening tracks were kinda slow. I said to Richie, "I hope he's building his set." A short time later, the tide was indeed turned. Tracks he played are as follows:

The party was just AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I did no expect that from Ferry honestly. I had an idea of stuff he's thrown down, but this set was hands down one of the best built, structured trance sets Ive heard in a long time. Another thing I just love from Ferry and I know he does, its to include classic tracks throughout the sets, and that set last night was no exception!
From Moonman - Galaxia ( original ), to TIMO MASS - DOOMS NIGHT ( ORIGINAL MIX !) into William Orbit - Adagios for string ( Ferry Corsten remix ) <<< kicks ass with all the trance rifs. There was a lot of new material for my ears too.. and just great stuff! Man was I having a good time. I left a bit past 4 ( been awake since 6AM studying/working/ studying / Space ) .. so I just wanted to drive it safe on my way back.
IT was GREAT to see all the familiar faces and hang out with Jordy, a great crowd!! thanks for the good times!! |

I don't think so. :( I was waiting for it. Hell, I've heard it live lots of times. I was happy just to hear Galaxiaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa. Me Richie and Carlos were screaming it lol.

There were lots of drawings of eroticism around the main room. My guess is that was for the halloween theme.
On another note.....godDAMN that kid in front of me was stupid as . He was using a Vicks inhaler and security caught him. They were kicking him out but he put up quite a fight. Craziest I ever seen at Space.

got there around 10:10 but went in around 10:30. Seasunz's set was ok, his mixing wasn't too great btw. He dropped some good stuff like
Artificial Funk - Never Alone(love that tune)
Kyau Vs. Albert - Are you fine(Markus Remix??)
BnJ - Catch (Roth rmx) it was weird hearing it at that pitch but it was great nonetheless hearing it on that system.
OMG the kids!!!!!! lol I'll stay mum on that issue!
Ferry owned!!! Nasty set, hard for me to remember tunes, but you already know which one stands out the most.;) |
