Right, because outside of 1985 the Bears haven't been a franchise mired in mediocrity. :)

thanks, captain obvious.

Mr. Aquadyne was only refuting the comments about ATL.

I just take any opportunity I can to crack the Bears. :)

I understand that the paragon of NFL excellence called the Green Bay Packers actually managed to squeeze out a win on sunday. Yet, I see a dark next 10 years for the Pack.

You should come out next Sunday - and watch a REAL NFL team, Bobby - and not that squad of rejects that GB pulled off the waivers and mottled into some sort of a "team" ;)

Nowhere in this thread did I say that the Packers were even in the same league as the Bears this year.

:)

You know what's really funny?? You speak of the Packers as if they are God's gift to the NFL. I'm not a football fan by any means so I know pretty much nothing about other teams, aside from the standouts over the years. I know the Redskins, Cowboys, 49ers and Dolphins used to win a lot over the years, and that's about it. Quickly scanning the rest of my albeit sparse databanks of NFL memory, I could not find any meaningful recollections of the Packers. So just for s and giggles (and because I was bored at work) I consulted the net and found a record that's hardly anything to gloat about. Their last Super Bowl win was 10 yrs ago. BFD. To me, that's not much different than the Bears win 20 yrs ago. They had 2 other wins in the 60's. Again, BFD.

The only thing I like about the Packers is that they are owned by their fans, the only major american sports team in that kind of arrangement.

It explains why their fans are such fanatics.
