yeah. there was no excuse for that - the cardinals game should have sufficed as a "wake up call". this really bugs me since i never liked grossman to begin with and it just keeps underscoring and reinforcing the opinion that even though the bears have a #1 ranked offense in the NFL - it is largely flukey, streaky and inconsistent.
the defense cant keep bailing out the offense every time either - you cant expect them to pull the game out for you after 6 turnovers every time. I always thought that griese should have been the starter this season.
I also like the excuses that the bears players gave : "Well, the dolphins played very good football and were a very good team today"
no they didnt, they sucked and the bears sucked even more.
however, the biggest scares from this game are the injuries - urlacher and berrian. that is going to hurt. |

I think the fact that Grossman has basically had three years to master the playbook off the field gives him the advantage for the time being, but I think that when Griese gets a strong grasp of the offense that he should be the starter for your team.
But yes, Berrian and Urlacher would be two huge hits. |

LOL. Everyone said their Cardinals game was the 'wake up they needed.' |
but, they won. it was not enough. they had to lose. simple sports psychology. |

| Right, because the first 6-turnover game wasn't enough of a wake-up call. They needed another one. |

i'm gonna have to side with bobby on this one, rubin ;D
the bears are good, not great
and now they certainly should not be compared to the 85 bears (although the one loss that the 85 bears had was to the miami dolphins) |

| but we can all agree on one thing. bears will have a decent season, probably 13-3. then get knocked out in 2nd round or conference game - thats my prediction for the bears this year. i dont expect to see them in the superbowl, let alone winning it. the game against the patriots will demonstrate that. |

Coming soon to a store near you...Mike Ditka wine!
Besides throwing off his back leg, Grossman might want to look around the field a bit, it's amazing he doesn't have more interceptions considering he stares right at his intended receiver. Bring back Jim Miller! |

that's like a 14th century european peasant shouting "bring back the black plague!"
regardless of how glitchy bears offense is, it's still the best it has been probably since the 80's. during the 95/04 era - if a bears quarterback completed a pass for more than 40 yards it was considered a miracle.
as for the colts - a tremendous team that will never win the big one as long as peyton manning is there. he is the choke king. someone compared him to the modern day Dan Marino and i'd have to agree wholeheartedly. great ability, great potential, greatest choking. |
