| This guy's got my vote. I'm watching the debate/call-in show on Rogers. They're talking about street cars and hydrogen busses. Yadayadayada, I'm not gonna recount the whole debate. But Miller says "Jane, you wouldn't be in favour of and opposed to street cars, would you?" Frickin hilarious. She argued for both those points. So golden. |

| he definitely has a better transit plan than she does which is what i care about most. although the only thing thats anchoring his plan is the spadina extention. |

what exactly has miller done for toronto in the last 3 years?
All i can see is that he cancelled the island bridge and it ended up costing more to cancel than it would be to build. Then the guy who they made that payout to used that money to start up the airline that miller was opposed to in the first place!
He caved in to his union buddies when they staged an ILLEGAL strike. yeah that'll teach them to break the law! Sure! Imagine all the improvements that could have been done with the money he dished out!
Oh and for transport? Lets waste money on new subway cars when what we need are new subway lines. Also miller isnt even willing to accept that people actually OWN CARS AND DRIVE. We need a balanced approach. What has miller done? Imposed a st clair right of way that is relatively useless and that no one wants. And added more speed humps. Whooptie!
Oh and taxes. up up and away! ANd what does miller say about businesses fleeing toronto's high taxes in record numbers? That "everyone wants to be here and that they will pay a premium to be in the economic engine of canada." Well with that attitude that engine is looking more and more like vaughan!
And dont even get me started on the 100s of millions spent on the homeless industry
He also supports the islanders and the spadina whiners... and wants to tear downt he gardiner.
So again i ask
WHAT HAS THIS GUY DONE FOR TORONTO OTHER THAN NOTHING? |

he imposed a restriction on the area in which liquior licences can be issued and when surprise, they concentrated in one area (entertainment district) he imposed a moritorium on that. And now the people who moved there are whining and he wants the clubs that concentrated there due to his original policies, shut down because his minions dont know how to plan properly.
Who builds condos in the ENTERTAINMENT DISTRICT?

no he bought subway cars in that controversial purchase from bombardier 2 months ago to replace all the ones we have now. Call me nieve but ive been on ours. Sure they arent the nicest ones in the world but they work just fine.
Oh yes and garbage. Mr "im against kirkland lake" miller who was opposed to sending our garbage to a willing host makes a backroom deal and surprises the residents of st thomas with a new mega dump that no one wants to save his re-election skin.
Is this the kind of person we want for the next 4 years?

TOguy: dont let the smooth talking sound bytes sway your decision. Look at what miller has done (or hasnt done) in the past 3 years. Ask yourself if toronto is a better city today than it was 3 years ago. Look at the other candidates promises and then decide. If you still think miller is the best then vote for him. If not vote for someone else regardless of their chances of winning.
Personally the more refined a candidate is the more suspicious of him i usually am. |

they work fine for now. these new subway cars wont be in service for a very long time which will replace aging ones that are supposed to be decomissioned, like the old H-1 cars on the B-D line. |

but we could easily get another 20 years out of them! Give me a break. Why do we have to have the newest everything? Yeah it may not look as cool as the new subways but they work fine. |
