I met my boys parents after we had been dating about 10 months... he met mine after about a year and a half. My family is really old fashioned, so meeting the parents is a REALLY big deal. My mom straight out told me "I don't want to meet any of your boyfriends unless you're planning on getting married to them. I don't want to get to know someone who is only in the picture temporarily." It was a big thing to meet his parents too. He had only introduced one girlfriend before me, and they only saw her like 4 times the whole time they dated. Whereas I've gone on vacation with them & they've come and visited the two of us & stayed the night in our apartment. I love them. They are my extended family.
Personally, I was with my mom. I didn't want to drag my family into my relationship & create attachments with the family unless the guy was in the picture for the long haul. He's the same way. It's nice though, because he's close with my family & I'm close with his. Both of us have the phone numbers of every family member. :) |

I'm in no hurry for my bf to meet my dad but my dad does know about him and see's him all over my myspace page :D
My bf's mom and lil sis are the best. I love his mom's Polish accent hehe. She sounds so cute trying to compliment me in English haha. |

My gf met my dad a few weeks in, cause we wre on the couch at around 330 at night he comes down hey brad.....oh. hey...strange lady?
i met her mother (who's fob chinesy) a month or so in.
at first i just nodded and said hello, and now i even ask how she is!
she scares me..she says i have angry eyes..i duno why though ...

Haha, your man is teaching you Polish, and I'm teaching Jason :D
Sadly though my parents haven't been in the US long though, so it's really, really, really hard to understand their accents. :( But Jason is determined to communicate with them in Polish. It's amazing to see how much he's learned so quickly. And it makes me realize I have the best guy ever. He's going through so much effort just to connect even more with my family than he already has.
How long have you two been dating? Not long though right? You two are cuuuuute! |
