You were probably there too early. He starts his sets off slow.
Listen to the Arc closing set from 3-27-04, you'll see what I mean. It's 10.5 hours, so you get to hear some of everything. |

The key to seeing a Danny marathon set is definitely going late. We arrived at 2:30 and missed all the boring stuff. The crowd really sucked upstairs until it started clearing out a couple hours later. Between the drunks, the crackies, and the overzealous teenyboppers I was shoved and tossed around like a ragdoll. Not to mention the disgusting heat and humidity from everyone's sweaty bodies.
Anwyay, it was great seeing all the TAs. I thought Danny was good the entire time we were there. The breaks really killed me. By 7am I was struggling to keep dancing but knew it'd be worth hanging in until the end. The open dance floor and enthusiasm of the troopers left dancing when the lights came up is really what the Danny experience is about. |

I think he played this. It wasn't the mix I'm familiar with from Sasha - GU 9 San Francisco.
To be honest, he could have played all 3 other ones now that I've played the samples for barosoap and I. We know we've heard them this week, just sure if it was last night or during the week. There were lots of tracks that people like Digweed and Lee play that I know from sets. Most times, I don't remember track titles since I don't usually have the tracklists on me when I'm listening to the sets. |
yup he played the ones i figured. My friends were there and trainspotted these....I love the remix of "Go" and Roots for Acid must have sounded ridiculous on a big sound system
Fluid X - Change < First track apparently
Der Dritte Raum - Hale Bopp(Sebastien Leger mix)
Rockers Hi-fi - Push Push (M.A.N.D.Y. Remix)
Gorillaz - Dare(Soulwax Remix)
Moby - Go(Trentemoller Remix) < BOMB :)
Gabriel Ananda - Dopplewhipper
Groove Armada - Lovebox(DH Re-edit)
Carly Simon - Why
Bent - Ordinary Day
Bent - Always(Ashley Beedle remix) w/ Lisa Stansfield - People Hold On(acapella)
Rocco - Roots 4 Acid
Dennis Ferrer - Underground Is My Home
Jerome Sydenham - Timbuktu (Ame Remix)
Dibaba - Hold You (Agoria 'Bear' Remix)
Kupon - Zoom In |

I must be the only person in clubland who doesn't get the appeal of this track. It's like Pryda - Aftermath last year.
By the way, I'm finishing up the Arc set right now, and People Hold On just played as I'm typing this. I believe he played this close to the end, but not sure and I definitely remember it. |

yeah he def played"People Hold On" in the arc set...I feel u on the mix of go though. People either really like it or dont at all...it did well for me a couple of weeks ago though. Aftermath was beaten to death last year. Digweed was playing it back in july and then i saw tracklistings of Armin Van Buuren playing it in january and february this year...I honestly got sick of it last year when djs went out of their way to play it when it obviously didnt fit with their styles or sets they were playing:whip:
EDIT: someone needs to hook me up with that mix of "Hale Bopp" please hahaha. |

The Go mix is going to be the same way. King Unique, Desyn, Howells are playing it now, just wait until Markus Schulz and Armin start playing it right before WMC. |

They're higher up in the dj polls as opposed to #67 for Danny Howells so they can play anything they want lol ;) |

You're not alone. Hearing it at 3 out of 4 of the last parties I've been to is really overkill. It's not like King Unique, Trentemoller, and Howells even have the same style. At least it's not Carly Simon - Why though... |

Every morning, when you wake up, I will play this song and sing it for you until I get sick of it. :haha: |
