both the other group members know how to dj and they kicked ass back in apirl when it was just the same 2

i don't think it matters all THAT much, but i was wondering why having a child had anything to do with djing

Now that i kno it's 18+, i might go 2 Pacha instead of DC to see them. NYC is a much better atmosphere to see them in by far. Even if it is at Pacha.

Anyone from NJ going to this so they can give me a ride?

I'm sorry but are you retarded? Do you know how much time and effort it takes to care for a newborn baby? Common in sense dude. I'm sure DJing can take a backsit for a while until he gets accustomed to the big addition to his life. It's called being RESPONSIBLE.

Sorry for the bashing but seriously, just think about it. Having a child is no joke.

To answer your first question no I'm not retarded. I am an adult and fully understand responsibility and I don't need you to tell me to "think about it" or use "common in sense." Do you honestly think he's the only DJ with a child? My point was that he does tour even with "the big addition to his life". I don't appreciate your rant and think your attack on my common sense and state of mind is a bit much especially since you don't know me from Eve.

The focus has shifted away from 'What can I contribute to making this a good party?' to mindless gallivanting and 'How can I look good, so I can pick someone up?' It's unfortunate but true for the major venues in NYC.

thank you for this good response barosoap (i really mean this, no sarcasm). you acknowledged my point of view and gave a valid reason for why there is a problem with glowsticks now in the city. it's sad that the scene has really lost its way in recent years, but i maintain hope that it will revert to its old, accepting ways in years to come :)

nothing is sadder than ignorant people giving close-minded negative responses when the glowstick issue is brought up. early in the night at a party these same people who hate on the glowsticks are shaking me and my friends' hands and telling us how "dope" we are after they see us crack ultras at the peak moment of a sick track. there were some ignorant responses from people in this thread, but im glad to see there are still some open-minded people out there in the scene.

to the person who mentioned boogaloo's superiority and that glowsticks are only good for people who are high/messed up: wtf do you think people do at night clubs like this? lol, a vast majority of the people aren't exactly sober if you haven't noticed :wtf: though glowsticks are still enjoyable sober, most people dont really seem to get it until they see a skilled dancer in the trance environment while high/drunk/etc...

On the glowstick issue.

I am very positive she didn't mean it like that, why dont you chill the out before you blow up and people call ppl retarded? Perhaps the NON-RETARDED response from you would have been to ask her what she meant by it FIRST and THEN make a comment?

besides there are many people who have jobs that require a lot of travel (think atheletes, performers, businessmen, etc), all of which require a lot of responsibility and a balancing act.... but these people are more than capapble of doing it, and thus a DJ can surely do it.
