Treats us? Were you in the receiving end in one of these recent episodes of abusive power by police? If so, please share.
Anyway, regarding this incident, it's disgusting. No such measures are necessary. The guy was not a grave threat.
Forcing a person to leave a library when a lot people should be obligated to go to one. Comical. |

WTF are you talking about? You are taking an isolated incident by rented rogue security guards and making like someone is lurking around every corner...you should seek professional help....you have what is called paranoia. |
It isn't paranoia anymore when its on the front page of the new york times. |

because supposedly that's what a student without his id should do when confronted, retard.

yeah, "stand up" is a very reasonable command a few seconds after you've been tased. |

you're the kind of guy who would call the jews that left germany prior to the holocaust paranoid. |

and you're the guy who would be called an overgeneralizator of unbelievable proportions. comparing a tasered student with living in nazi regime is like comparing your dick to that of Lebrone James - those are things of completely different scales:p |

most jews that were living under the progressively oppresive nazi regime referred to the ones leaving as paranoids, among other things.
if you don't see that fact's implications on your argument you're ill equipped to debate me, so don't bother replying to this, but here it is broken down:
- i'm not comparing being tasered with living in a nazi regime
- i'm comparing the attitude of the local populace
- i'm showing it's very easy to compare the two because that was the general perception then and it's the general perception now in relation to tasering uncompliant members of the populace

Dude fact is the kid did not comply with the rules. No he should not of been tasserd that many times but he should of left and got his ID (like everyone else) and that would of been that. |
haha, you're always defending police brutality. |

Is that before or after most of them get shot? |
in mexico, police force are trained badly...either they dont do nothing or they shot...they dont know how to handle riots and such.
i never carry wallet...and all my ids are in there...so could you imagine what would happen if some of these kind of police ask me for it...:nervous: |

Oh boy, so I venture out of the PDD hole with the advice of Groundhog Boy to see this argument posted here in COR prior to my double-post in PDD:
http://www.tranceaddict.com/forums/...threadid=382577
I think for the most part most here are working through this pretty good. The kid was clearly being a recalcitrant ass, no question. He wanted a scene and got one.
With all that said, it seems the consensus agrees that the use of force, i.e. multiple tasing while being handcuffed, clearly do not justify the cause of that force. Furthermore, the threat of being tased for asking badge numbers is clearly a serious violation as well.
As I mentioned in PDD, I advocate the use of tasers by the police PROVIDED they are used and not abused. This case seems pretty clear cut of the latter of multiple tases going way too far. I don't know if even the first tase was necessary, but clearly after that there was a line crossed. The use of these weapons are still in their infancy, so hopefully our police force can learn a bit more from this. |
