the package i got w/ mine has a "Limited slip differential"...which is mainly for towing or if you get stuck in the mud/snow....but also helps actually on turning. this morning when i accelerated from a red light, and was doing like 45mph before i had completed the turn (this V6 kicks so much ass, i've never driven a truck w/ one ... previous one had a I4), the little sensor thingy on the dash came on w/ the limited slip...and i could feel it giving more torque on the truck to help w/ the turn. was kinda neat, i thought. |

I estimated it prolly costs about $.50 per mile to drive with current gas costs... I don't drive it too often though |

Dont start me on LSDs, they are a topic i can talk about for hours :D They are required knowledge if your hobby is taking your car to the track and trying to keep it sideways for as long as possible :)
But just to say something, an lsd doesn't add torque to help wit the turn, in essence all it does is make sure that one of the wheels doesn't slip and start spinning significantly faster than the other one. Other electronic traction and stability control systems (which your car seems to be loaded with) send torque to the correct place to keep the car on the road all that the lsd does is keep the wheels spinning at roughly the same speed. |
