I have a question for you guys/girls...
Lets say you were to throw a big party for about 10-15K people in the city. I'm saying party, but a BAR is not really nessecary, more like a concert. Crazy lighting, DJ stage etc... Where would you do it?
I don't think any club is big enough to hold more than say 2K people in NYC, and different stages/floors and rooms is not an option.
Any input is appreciated.
Best

Its possible. PVD does shows there, as well as many others.
But correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't central park area hold only about 2-3K people?
I'm looking more for a place with a roof. |

Unfortunately looks like we don't even have that much open space in NYC to put a tent on. |

| you could try certain less-popular parks that would be open to a concert-type thing... made events did it at the tobacco warehouse... i always wanted to do something at liberty state park in jersey city... havent been in a while, but maybe astoria park in queens... or better yet, randall's island? |

Liberty state park has a bunch of residential building next to it, so I'm not sure if they'll be too happy about the loud music.
Tobacco Warehouse is a good option, but I'm really interested in a place in the city.
Never thought of Astoria Park or Randall's Island.. Queens again, is not the city, and the Island.. I'll look into it.
Thanks alot guys.. I knew this was the right place to post about this...
Keep them coming! |

Exactly why I said Central Park and not Summerstage.
I was talking about the ENTIRE PARK. :p |

AH! Sorry...
I think you'll have to contribute into Bloomberg's election compaign or know GW Bush in person to pull that off...:) Was there ever a concert there? |

| Madison Square Garden... that's the only place I know of in the city w/ that kind of capacity and a roof. |
