What a night!!!! Sorry to hear of all the horror stories from every1 else, but I really didnt experience ANYTHING of that sort. I guess you get a mix of everything w/ that many people...
I got there around 2ish and Sasha still hadnt come on yet. Jimmy Van M really wasnt doing anything for me either. As everyone else said, his set was dull and kinda boring. It was around 2:45 - 3:00 that you could hear the sound taking an "airy" direction and before you knew it Sasha was mixing in!!!! I havent heard any recent sets from Jimmy nor Sasha in the last couple months but you could definately tell when Sasha was on!!!!!! :toocool: The sound of his set filled the room unlike anything I have ever heard before. A complete wall of sound.....it was great!
Sasha's set was really banging and considering him mixing on a cpu you could really tell his presence with the crowd and really knew how to get people moving. His head was bobbing non-stop!! I believe I left at around 6-6:30 and Sasha was still going strong in the main room. Its too bad I have a final exam at 7pm on a sunday night :whip: or else I would have stayed for the Terrace. I hope some other TAs could shed some light on how that was, cuz I can only imagine.
I'm sorry for all the party people that didnt have a good time, but Sasha was great none the less, IMO. I cant wait for him to come back!!!!!  |
sasha good. space party people bad. its sad that a night i was looking forward to sooooooooooooo much got so ruined. |

Where can I start.
I tried to get to Space the latest I could to get into the good part of Space and not wait till 2AM for Sasha. Ended up getting there like around 1.
I walk in and I hear Jimmy dropping some mix of Jam & Spoon's classic - Stella, so I thought we were on for a good momentum to Sasha. God was I wrong. I had to suck up to Jimmy's set till 3 AM. By then I was already done, but Sasha came and there was some hope for me getting up from such a dull set, but sadly me and my crew were all not feeling it, if we would've had a good start Im sure we would've stayed. Anyways, Sucked cause I been waiting to hear and see a Sasha set in like forever. We left @ 4.. so if anyone got there at 4 I think it was a good time, but anything before that you were into some big low slow warm-up. And yeah last night it was Etards night.. |

I highly agree with everything you said...
I wasnt suppose to be there that night, and maybe I should have stayed home. I really was not feeling the night. Jimmy sucks, and Sasha bored the hell out of me. I tried even drinking a hole lot more, and that didnt work either... I NEED A BREAK!!! | rly.. u went? what a surprise there. You always say no but always seem to go dork :p
Anyways I agree with the fact that space needs to lay down the laws a lil more.
The reason why I hated the San Fran trip so bad is cuz they let all the fuked up ppl do whatever they want. I was so greatful for Space that used to crack down on ppl getting caught doing drugs in the bathroom or out on the open. The whole point of being fuked up is to try and act sober! I can't stand thatg .
Ugh. I'm glad I didn't go cuz when ever the opening dj sucks like Armin for Markus in July.. I can't take it anymore and just leave. |

| no, sasha's set was legendary. although there were plenty of ed up people, there were plenty of ppl enjoying his music, there for sasha. nothing matters when you are there for the music. surprises were remixes of greece 2000 and on the terrace (when would you ever see sasha on the terrace??!!), xpander. for the many years i have been following sasha (from his days with digweed at twilo nyc), last night was truly special. |

lemme elaborate... SPACE IS TURNING INTO A HOLE! yeah, you read that right. every ing person in that club was WAAAAY too ed up. people need to learn how to control themselves. back in the day at least half of those ing etards and ghb tards and meth heads woulda been kicked out and blacklisted. to be completely honest, i think space knows its moving soon. so they really dont care. they let anyone in, dont kick them out and are just making as much money as they can before they have to move. which sucks ass for me because space is losing the little class it had. if space is like this, i WILL NOT be at armin. i WILL NOT be at space for wmc. id rather do smaller clubs where i know ill have fun.
i just really wish i could of stayed but the people at space ing ruined it. the sadest part is sasha was throwing down the dopest set when we walked out. :( i paid $25 to get hit in the head with a water bottle 4000 times and kicked in the back by some dumb blonde bitch on the box, to have some fat ass bitch rub her ass on my head while im sitting on the box, to be bitched at cuz i kicked someones purse on the floor (who the puts a purse on the floor at space?!), to be fallen on cuz some dumb cant walk right, to hear 3 hours of jimmy van crap, and only an hour of decent music. that. dont be suprised if you never see me at space again. |
Sorry you had to deal with that crap man, but it really is the norm @ Space on Saturdays nowadays.
lemme elaborate further, Space has been a hole for quite some time. They have no standards at all about who they let in, and who they let stay in there regardless of how they conduct themselves. Thugs, lowlives and heads who cannot handle their partying galore is what I am seeing more and more of there. I always try and stay away from the most crowded areas to avoid the heads, but it is really hard at such an event because they are everywhere, and even worse when you want to hit the dancefloor. A while back I mentioned this problem in a post where I pointed out that we all rag on the teeny bopper nights and how annoying they are (and they are), yet the fact that people in Miami turn 21 is by no means a sign of their acting in a reasonable manner when they go out - as proven by Space every Saturday.
IMO Space is for special events only, and even then look what can happen. Somehow one must find a way to block out the idiots, which is not easy at all. |

| Blocked 'em out. Sasha owned. Nice to see him play by himself. It's just one long track that builds for hours, mixing is totally on point. Great change up from the usual rotation of top djs. |

I thought JVM was zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz as usual but I agree Sasha rocked the house. He played alot of tracks from his recent sets (I'm too tired to look them up atm) but I remember he dropped...
Pryda - Remember
Three Drives on a vinyl - Greece 2000 (some insane mix)
The Beatles - Tomorrow Never Knows Booty with a female vox
Humate - 3.2
Pete Heller - Simpler
and some amazing Thom Yorke booty.
I hate the new set up @ Space. Sorry we missed each other Flo maybe next time we can meet up. Nice running into Kelly and Rzo.
Peace |

| Anyone know who's behind that Thom Yorke booty? It was the last track he dropped in the main room and it was dope. |
