No, many nations have a form of racial prejudice. Russian government is the only one that doesn't do anything to fix the problem like in USA or France. |

I hope you see the irony of that statement. It is about as racist as anything can be. Implying that all Russians are unintelligent.
I don't know whether the problem is your poor english or something else, but you should note that all your broad generalisations and stereotyping in crude terms is symptomatic of the core of racism. You are in fact a racist making accusations of racism. The situation is so ironic that I almost suspect you're purposely trolling. |

Well I've heard some things about Polish skins too, as well as Czech , Serb etc.
On the whole I would agree that by Western standards Russia is less racially sensitive than the West. For example a scene from the film Brat2 comes to mind when Dasha tells Danila about black people in the US and how they're more savage by nature or something like that - reinforcing beliefs from the 19th century. Among Russians comments like that don't even raise an eyebrow. In the West (at least in Australia) in almost any company a conversation along those lines would cause a massive uproar.
This isn't to say that most RUssians would actively discriminate against black people or other racists. That sort of thing is part of the skinhead radical minority. It's just frightening that for a minority subculture, the skinheads are growing quite popular, and it seems the government is doing little to stop it. |
